  1. Was it hitting the cab or hitting the cross brace that goes across the cab mounts? When I changed my trans in my Superliner from a 9 speed to a 12 speed, I had to move the cross brace to the other position to clear the trans. The brackets for the cab have two different positions for different trans.

  2. Two years ago I bought my B755 from Dennis over at Old macks. He had just finished a deal on a truck very similar to this one and for around the same amount of money. Truck went to Australia into a truck museum. The time frame fits. I have to wonder if it was the same truck?

  3. Ok, changed the check valve, no different, changed the lift pump, no different. Could it be a weak eup?  I've changed 2 of them in the past but that was for fuel leaks. Can they be checked in the motor or do they have to be removed to be tested? I also noticed a stumble when the jake first comes on. Could it be connected or 2 different problems?

Same pump, different injectors and turbo I believe. The pump just gets adjusted. I believe the e7 mechanical can go all the way to 454.

My 94 RD was a 350. I had the pump rebuilt and turned up. Put a 427 turbo on it and installed "super flow" injectors (90HP)  was getting 490 Hp. Only thing I learned was to make sure the 8LL had the trans cooler installed, which it did. Also did the same set up on my 2000 RD but was an Etec 400. The Etec ran a little better than the E7 350.

  5. The light does work, goes out after a couple of seconds. Its a definite stumble. If you pull out and go very easy on the throttle, it won't do it. The same way in between shifts. What should the fuel pressure be? I was told to test it under a load, and while driving. It does smoke at first shift but only a short blast of black.

  6. My tri-axle has a stumble at low RPM's. 2000 RD with a 400. Seems to be worse when the engine is cold. The harder you try to pull out, the worse it is. If it had a carburetor, it would say it is loading up. That's what it feels like. Injectors and turbo have been replaced and it did it with the old one also. No "check engine" light. Could it be an air intake sensor without a check engine light? or something else?
