Yes I know the owner very well, Mary Lou. But she is no longer married to him. I have no clue where he is now. Her son even changed his last name back to Larock. What is the name of the company that worked with valley seeding?MACKTRUCKS4,you know anyone at Valley Seeding. We used to use them when we were doing interstate road jobs.If you know Burkie tell him Mike Durkin says hello.

When I put the 12 spd. in my superliner, I did the same set up. Mack pto, called my local mack dealer and he faxed me all the papers he had on the mack pto with air shift. That was a few years ago and I got everthing from mack. Air cylinder, brackets, hardware, etc. I may still have all the papers somewhere, will look when I get time.

Do you mean when you push the pedal down, you can't get it into any gear? If so, sounds like the clutch is stuck to flywheel. Start the truck in gear and drive it around with the clutch pedal pushed in but not to the floor. Sometimes it takes a while, drive up and down hills if you can.

If not the lift pump, check fuel lines for a leak, running in second, you may be running a higher RPM which is using more fuel but it does sound like a fuel problem.

Archery opens next week (Oct.5) in Pa, 6 weeks here and than I head to Ohio for 8 days of archery, than back to Pa for rifle season for bear and deer. If I had to choose one weapon to hunt with, I'd pick the bow, Love that season, but would still keep my GUNS.

Make sure when you set the valves, you rotate the motor over twice, had a guy sets valves once and he only rotated once and set the valves for two cylinders on one mark. Needless to say, it did not run too well, but it did run.

Not long after I heard the one truck rolled, I saw it on the site for bigtrucksalvage.com, a site that they auction off savage. the truck was on there and let me tell you, it was TWISTED. Don't know who bought it but you can buy it back from the insurance company for the right price.

Saw this truck for sale, my question is did they change the interior color to tan before they changed to the R-model or did someone paint this one tan? Truck year is a 66, so close to when they went to the R. Also has a tan steering wheel but with a green horn button.

12 sp. in a superliner is not hard to pull the top cover because the cab sits higher. There is a vent in the one cylinder, air could leak out if the O-rings are bad. Not a hard job, just make sure you mark all the lines for easy installation.

Yes, I thought the steering wheel was on the wrong side.
Very nice.

A friend of mine just had the same problem with his R-Model dump, He was on his way to my shop to pull the trans and I told him to hold the clutch pedal in while he was driving to my house, about 2 miles up hill, and half way to my shop it broke loose. I'm guessing because he was climbing a hill, it put enough pressure on the discs to brake them loose.

He has a couple of trucks like that. His shop is on the back road between Mountain Grove and Mainville. Has a Bloomsburg address. I have been passing his place everyday, I'm doing work for my wives uncle in Danville and I take the back road from my house. The one that was there today was a single axle.

I have full coverage on two antiques I have. First one is valued at $30,000, second is valued at $5,000.00 through JC Taylor. Last year was $318.00 for a year. Take proof of insurance and title to a notary with a check. Cost me $130.00 for the plate. You can probably get insurance cheaper for just one vehicle but full coverage is nice to have incase anything would happen while it's parked (fire, theft, etc.) Antique do not have to be inspected so better way to go. The restriction aren't much different for either one but classic's have to be inspected.

Yes, you are correct. You can pull any trailer as long as it is NOT for profit.Macktrucks4,I think that you can haul a trailer behind your antique truck as long as it's not for profit.I was always told that i could haul my other antique trucks and caterpillar tractors to and from shows.
-
PA does not require pictures anymore for antique or classic vehicles. But you do have to have insurance on the vehicle to get the plates. I tried a few years ago for the plates but they rejected them because my B-model was lettered on the door. I got the plates now, cost $130.00, one time deal. If you are not going to haul anything, this is the way to go.

The same guy had the B75 for sale that Jdiesel25 bought.

i thought about having this truck shipped but i think its going to be way too much to have it shipped, unfortunately its a nice truck and you dont come across trucks like these often.
I've been looking for one like this for a while, looked at the one you bought but was a little more than what I wanted to spend. The price is right but of coarse it's on the other side of the planet.
TBone- what kind of trailer are you looking for?
E9 500 with trans on ebay

Did anyone on this site buy the 1988 E9 500 with an 18 speed included that was on ebay a few days ago. Someone got a great deal. I was looking at it but went to Ohio on another hunting trip and as the saying goes, You snooze, you loose. Started at $600 but I didn't see the buy it now price ($2,000.00) Only had 1 bid. I think that was the deal of the year. The heads where worth that alone. The think it was in Montana. Pictures showed it still in the truck so motor and trans came complete. The owner stated a liner was leaking so it needed to be rebuilt.
