  1. Here is an HD 41 Allis Chalmers. This tractor was at an ATHS/tractor show in Richland Center WIS a couple years ago.

First Gear used this tractor for the 1/25th scale tractor they made. Can't be to many of these left. What a monster. I think

Allis was the featured tractor that year, that's why this machine was there, and they also had a raffle for the First Gear version.

  2. Was this just off Lemont road? They use to load us with a rubber tire loader from the big piles......the yard was so muddy .was like driving a lake...hated that place. Was wet, cold and the salt dust was bad... My eyes would sting on a windy day..

Yeah. It was back along the canal. Complete shit hole. If you were in Lo Lo that was almost to fast. I saw some dummy

in there one day with a blue CH and Alumatech tub trailer go through there so fast his trailer fell off after he got loaded

and dropped the thing right on its nose. Place was terrible at best.

  3. Reason it is on that way is weight transefer. More axles on back and need all the weight back there to axle out right on the drives. But what a pansy move them around like that on 7 in Fl all day long

Probably depends on what State he was going to. I have a few friends that do heavy haul in the lower 48 and every state they

go in has a different set of rules for oversize. One state says its fine the next one wants you to have 20 axles and two escorts.

Some of these states are just ridiculous with their rules.

  4. Took this at the Waupun Truck n Show in Waupun Wi a couple years ago. This guy was hauling a 450 Deere for

Michels. Had it loaded facing forward. Usually the other way around, but I'm sure there was a reason for it. Possibly

needed the counter weight to the rear to axle out, or just needed the stick to sit down farther, don't know.

  5. Was it to heavy or just ran out of lift cylinder. There is no way the stick would extend out to lift. But picking it up side track doesn't help either

It had more lift. When the loader came over it would pick it up another foot and a half off the trailer. The forklift at the

yard had the same problem. It could only lift it so high and then another fork had to come over to assist to get it high

enough to set on the trailer. Once the boxes were up the machines seemed to hold them fine, just needed a little help.

  6. Was hauling some 40,000 pound concrete box culverts up to Wisconsin the last couple weeks and

took this pic of this 385B CAT unloading my friends truck. I was next in line. Boxes were even a little

too heavy for this machine and it needed an assist from the loader otherwise he would have to drag

    it off the deck.

  7. This truck was at Louisville at least 20 to 25 years ago and they had these pictures of it with the

specs on the back. I know there was a Kenworth areodyne with a huge bunk decked out the same

way but I don't know what ever happened to these trucks. I have not seen them since.

  8. Some great pictures on this thread, thought I could add a couple Reo's from the Walcott truckers jamboree. The

maroon one with the bull rack is still used. Seen it a couple times out on the big road. Definitely an eye catcher.

  9. Here is a 1991 Superliner is from Stoughton WI. All these pictures are from the Waupun Truck n Show in Waupun Wi.

This truck has a 311" wheelbase with a 100" sleeper with a waterfall inside. It has 250 led lights and he pulls a

Great Dane reefer that has 150 more led's. Has an E9 V8 that has been turned up to 800hp and is backed by

an 18 speed trans. This truck was also featured in the June 2011 edition of Large Car Mag. Very cool truck.

  10. Met this guy at the Mack dealer...nice guy, nice truck...1988 and a great big E9-V8! with those 6" duals, it sounded great when he left! Said he runs Texas to Nebraska mostly...from PA though...he just replaced his Mack 12 speed with a Fuller 15 speed and says he wished he hadn't...

There is a picture of that truck in Large Car Mag from a couple months ago. I also came up along side him on 294 one day

and called him on 19. He actually answered which is a feat in itself nowadays, but we talked for a bit till I had to exit. Was

a nice guy with a good looking Superliner.
