  1. Found these online of some Robert Hawthorne Trucks. https://libwww.freelibrary.org/digital/item/7601 https://libwww.freelibrary.org/digital/item/7599 https://libwww.freelibrary.org/digital/item/10350 Quick Way Rubish Removal (Might have been a division of Hawthorne) https://libwww.freelibrary.org/digital/item/7733 https://libwww.freelibrary.org/digital/item/7630
  2. That Superliner looks real good cleaned up! If only other drivers put that much work in keeping their trucks clean. Early 00's Mack DM690 Water Truck. Used to be a mixer at one time, water tank is from an old International Cargostar they scrapped several years back.
  3. 2 of A.P.'s DM885 are on the auction block. I think they have about 2 or 3 left now. I would guess they owned about 8-10 at one point. https://www.rbauction.com/1973-MACK-DM885SX?invId=10046138&id=ci&auction=NORTH-EAST-MD-2017186 https://www.rbauction.com/MACK-DM885SX?invId=10046134&id=ci&auction=NORTH-EAST-MD-2017186 Found these on Google Map Street view,
  4. Got ya DDD, next time you are in Philly, message me, and I will let you know of any big construction sites to check out. Like I said lots of work going on in the city. Mike D, I think the smallest crane JDM has at their yard is a Link-Belt LS58, you can see it in the background of some of my pics with the cab door open. I always thought they had Larger B & E cranes, but they do use smaller cranes at their quarries as "Skull-Crackers". They use a weight to crush rocks so they can be picked up with a loader. Most of these types of cranes are parked. The only older cranes they use are Draglines at their sand pits.
  5. I don't think I ever seen that one DDD,but yet again Tri-Axle RD's are quite common around here. Could be Nello Construction, or Molly Construction, they both have red trucks. I hope your trip was fun in Philly, and you happen to check out all of the construction going on in the city.
  6. I do not think VW should buy Mack. VW has screwed enough things up, and I would think they would kill the Mack Brand. I would rather see a company such as Oshkosh buy Mack. Here are my reasons, Pros: Oshkosh is really good at growing their brands that they have acquired. Since Oshkosh owns other brands such as McNeilus, IMT, Jerr-Dan, and Pierce, they can make fully equipped vocational trucks direct from the factory by streamlining the body building process. McNeilus, an Oshkosh Brand makes natural gas powered systems for trucks, that could introduce this technology in Mack Trucks. This would be very beneficial in the cabover vocational market since the majority of new refuse trucks ordered are natural gas powered. Oshkosh is already known for making durable and tough products so they would be very good at continuing the Mack Bulldog tough tradition, and slogan. May Cross Mack and Oshkosh products to create new product lines, especially in the municipal, construction, waste, and fire/rescue vocations. Cons: May Discontinue Mack/Volvo Engines and Components, and go the Cummins Route. May be a pro because It may attract fleets that run all Cummins products. May Integrate Mack Defense products with Oshkosh Defense products since they are already heavily involved in government contracts
  7. Whats Left of a CH613. Wrecked CV713 Was not able to get the whole truck, two DM Concrete Agitator Trucks. They have 4 of these, and a grown in Steel Nose DM in Huntingdon Valley. I though they sold these trucks. \
  8. They have 3 laydown yards off of Torresdale ave (one did used to be an asphalt plant) where they store different materials and objects for different jobs. They have a sandblasting and painting operation at the end of Pennypack street where they repaint and store parts for their asphalt plants, and quarries. The B-61 is used to move stuff around as well as the R Model. They also have some other trucks, and equipment floating around there where needed. They also have another B-61 like this at their Milford quarry, attached is a pic of it from google maps street view as it was next to I-84 Pics from 2010. I had them on the previous pages but when I switched over from Photobucket to Flickr, the links became dead, and I never fixed them.
  9. Yea I know I see them often too, they mostly do utility work for the City of Philadelphia. Some of their newer Granites are better looking. I follow the local union heavy-highway construction industry quite a bit around here. It is quite cool to see one large family operate 3 separate construction companies including AP, JPC, and Petrongolo Contractors and all are very successful. AP has a lot of trucks, they have about 4-5 of those DM800s, and a Superliner but it is setup as attenuator truck. They used to have more DM800's, but when JPC spun-off from them they took at least one. I also noticed too that ABC Construction has been fixing up their fleet of lately. They junked several dump bodies on the RD's and put new steel ones on. The dump truck for hire service has really been booming around here.
  10. That Mack Grapple Crane is looking good! I think I saw it loaded on Street Road a month or two ago. A video I found of some trucks working the blizzard of 2016. There is a AP DM800, and a couple of DM690s in it. The company that owns the silver DM's and RDs also has a steel noose RD600.
  11. Mike D, take a look at this. Surprised it is not Red since you guys had red trucks. I might buy this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Conrad-1-50-Scale-Mack-Truck-Talbert-Lowboy-Trailer-Diecast-Replica-Model-3612-/121938515223?hash=item1c641a1517:g:ytwAAOSwJQdW-WJy
  12. Mike D, JDM could have been using back then as a general work truck, compared to nowadays seeing a construction company or utility company using a Ford F-550 with a enclosed utility body.
  13. Mike D, that Looks like an ex Port Authority of NYC truck. They owned or used to own a bunch of them short wheelbase MR models.. JDM AC Model I found Online.
  14. AP Construction in Blackwood, NJ has a bunch of DM800 tamden dumps. They use them a lot in the winter for snow removal.
  15. Thanks Dan for correcting me I know they deffientely had the word sun in the name lol. I have also been seeing a bunch of Mastrocola trucks latley, and a company called Dibella although they have newer Macks. I think BRN is a WBE division of ABC. A lot of large scale construction projects require a certain amount of WBE participation since it is helping a minorty or women owned business. I see a lot with other companies do the same thing including Dinardo/Bella, R.P. Blair/Invyland Construction, etc.
  16. I think I seen an Ex D'Angelo Steel Nose R Model today beloing to a company called BRN Trucking, which I think is a division of ABC Trucking. Also seen a classic R Model Tri-Axle about a month beloing to a company called Sunshine or Sunflower trucking? I think it was yellow and brown or green in color? It was a sweet classic working truck though.
  17. Definitely used to be a service truck. Looks like it still has a lot of good parts left on it. Reminds me of that Red lube truck from A To Z Auto Lubricants in Levittown. I bet they could use another truck. I hate when I see this too, there are some many other options to get rid of a truck like this rather then scraping it, you can sell it as it, part it out, export it, etc.
  18. Some Macks from a small Truck Show for Kids. Nicest Superliner in the Area. Think they have 3 of them now. Nice looking B61, although it has some surface rust on the back panel of the cab near the frame.
  19. I have a pic of his truck, caught it back in 2013 while waiting at a light. I think I seen all of their trucks.
  20. Mike D, I work for nobody, I am what you call a local "Truck Nut".
  21. Forgot to mention that Mount Construction in Berlin NJ has an Ex Miller and Sons Paving Rd Dump truck. Seen it about a year ago. Been seeing a lot of Cat Trucks from them, I guess they like them (until they end up in the shop with the Maxxforce engines ). -Mike D looks like Buckley got some equipment in their yard, they are working on the Boluevard at the Pennypack circle. Kinda cool to see some old equipment in your yard again.
  22. Seen that same truck several times today too. I originally seen it back in the Summer the night of the Macungie show on Street road in Bensalem, figured maybe someone from the area had the truck at the show, and it was coming home for the night. Then I seen it today working. That is really nice looking B-81, that has a nice growl to it!
  23. Those two old ABC Macks would look nice with a new coat of paint. Walsh also has H & K hauling for them too, you could usually see a two or three truck convoy in or near Cottman Ave. I know they haul more stone and sand, but MJF Materials, and Levari Trucking in NJ Has a huge fleet of Tri-axles. I see Jesse Baro around too. There is also Rittenbaugh who got a lot of construction Tri-Axle Dump Trucks
