Here is one for you Robert
Thanks. I think that is the Mercedes that Gilder used to drive. I have a whole box of old photos, but I lent them to a friend and haven't gotten them back yet. You have some pretty good old photos, keep posting them!

Sorry about that.... What color is your superliner?. Need to see a pic so I know who we're talking about....hell brian sees me all the time and I just drive by himwith my nose in the air. Lol.. ......I saw a gray superliner down near the refinery on near new ave and 355 on Thursday. Waved at him...
I can post a pic, I have will just have to grab my phone to do it. I was in the CH when I saw you, and it really doesn't stand out. Every time I park it next to the RW I am reminded of how much better looking the superliner is. I like driving the CH, but really don't care for the looks.

Ok. Came up along side of him in the dark on 90. I waved, he honked. Thought it was you. Looked to have a DBC sticker on the trailer.
Yeah, he told me the other day that people are always honking and waving at him.... I said it was because everybody like seeing the super liner. I do pull the DBC trailer, and when I saw the blue Stark mack he was pulling one too. Do you drive that red pete? I will have to keep my eyes out for you. I saw the red Tanzillo truck twice the other day, and no wave...

your truck will look really nice once it's done

RSD, I'm gonna have to say that must have been you I saw this morning on 90?
If it was a brown superliner with a red trailer, it was my truck. I wasn't driving it though. He was hauling out of Prairie today.

Nice looking truck, the single stack doesn't look bad

That loader looks like it took a pretty good hit. I am not sure where that is, I thought it looked like the bridge one block south of Central Ave. right in town

Those pictures above are pretty cool. The area around the steel mills is always cool to see. I have a few pictures from the last week or so. They aren't Macks, but they are in northern Chicagoland. The first happened at the mettawa dump, and the last picture is Chicago areas least favorite contractor. I can't take credit for the pictures, the first were taken by a guy who was there when the truck went over. Nobody got hurt. The last picture was sent to me by a friend. They both remind us how quickly things can go bad.

Since RBs had come up earlier in the thread, I caught a couple of them over the last few weeks. the red truck coming head on is a CLK truck, that is an old lodesky truck. It has a really light empty weight. I think it is around 22,000. The one for sale is a 96, and looks like a lodesky truck but I don't know if it is. I just did this from my phone, and it wasn't very easy. So, please go easy if the post is all mangled up.

235 is one of the best excavators ever built. More power then a 345 and had the ass to back it up. We had 1 with I think it was a 3 yard bucket. Might of been a 2. It was to big for the machine and when you extended out with a full bucket we'd bend the bucket cylinder. In south Fl we could hit cap rock and punch a hole thru it. You look at it and can tell it is a big machine.
I ran an original 235 that had 18,000 hours on it when first got in it. I ran the thing quite a bit, probably 2500 hours or so. I always liked what a tank the thing was, but what a fuel pig. I dug a lot of deep holes with that thing, but it was pretty tired by the time it was sent to ritchie bros.

This isn't going to go over well, but I just can't get behind most republican policies. I will happily vote for a guy like obama long before I vote for a Romney. Many of the policies put in place by the republican party over the last 30 years have a lot to do with our country being were it is today. Dismantling workers rights and union busting have led to a stagnant wages for working class america, while the upper crust of corporate america has seen a 600% increase in wages. If anything, we all should stand together and focus on ways to increase our hourly pay, and increase in the hourly rate for the services we provide. I am a gun owner, and I think that the gun issue is a stupid sideshow that republicans want us to focus on while they introduce and try to pass legislation that will take away our guaranteed overtime pay after 40 hours worked. I could go on, but I think you get my point. There are much bigger issues, that affect a much bigger picture, and I think the current administration serves the interests of the majority of a Americans pretty well. Go ahead and attack my statement, but please do so with fact based arguments!

Here is a Meade Excavating R-model I saw rolling through Woodstock yesterday. Looks like he just got done
digging a hole for an Olympic size pool at BCR Al's house and was headed back to the yard.
I just saw that machine, it ended up on the east side of gurnee. Meade has some nice macks, keeps them clean.

rear engine? seems pretty ahead of its time... were they reliable? I have never seen one before.

Looks good with the factory mufflers. What color are you going to paint the frame?

That would be a nice rw to find with a KT, someone on here had a friend who owned one.I don't no if it was factory built.
Is this a KT Cummins? It sure looks like a big a** motor!http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com/find/listing/1982-MACK-SUPERLINER-109311520
