I know many of you don't like professional sports but as a native I am happy for the Eagles and the City of Philadelphia. Large and Medium went down to the parade (which I have been watching live all day here at work) and they just called me to say it was so much fun and one of the best experiences of their life.
You must work at the same place Zina does. She has 3 monitors and a laptop for work, but she also keeps the TV on in her office all day every day.

I started watching the committee hearing this morning but when some democrat idiot said that the real problem was not wasteful spending by the government, the real problem was that the IRS needed more resources to collect more taxes, I turned the channel and started watching "Bar Rescue". How far out of touch with reality these people are just boggles the mind. I wish I remembered his name, but I do not. I just can not understand how anybody, democrat or Republican, red, yellow, black or white, can find fault with Elon Musk uncovering billions of dollars of taxpayer's money that's just being thrown away. Like several million thrown away for sex change operations in Guatemala.

you know i used to eat at burger king all the time,,but the last 3 times i was there were not good at all,,,
There used to be a Burger King in Appomattox but it closed. I always preferred a Whopper over a Big Mac. Used to be a Long John Silver's, it closed, and a Huddle House but it closed too. Not sure why.

There menu is amazing and they have a full bar. I’ve never had anything in there. I didn’t like.
I like Applebee's, we usually go to Applebee's at least once when we go to Florida, when we can get Vicki from Florida's daughter to watch the dogs for us. We go when they have the "buy one get one free" deal for all drinks, and $6 burgers.
I always said they need something like Applebee's in Appomattox- or a Twin Peaks would be fine too. But besides the usual fast food joints we have Mexican, Chinese, or pizza. That's about the only options around here, unless you want to drive to Lynchburg and deal with the crowds and traffic.

There used to be a Red Robin around, I remember the commercials on TV. I don't know if there still is or not, our local channels are out of Roanoke and Lynchburg. I'll investigate.
Yep, there's one in Roanoke, one in Blacksburg, and several in the Richmond area, all over N.C.
None in Lynchburg.

Some fine looking units there, looks like a lot of Diamond T's, they're just sharp looking trucks!

I think i've got it now! Here's a picture I took of sleepy Joe and his bodyguard at a truck show in Colfax, N.C. a few years ago. He was walking around like an ordinary average guy at first...
But later in the day he didn't look so good...

I heard Johnny Click - no, actually I read this morning that he caught the end of this on TV and wanted to see the whole thing. So I searched "The Day the Lights Went out" and it's on YouTube. Haven't watched it myself yet, but I'm going to.

Looks a lot like mine- very crowded in there!
I think I have a couple of the same trucks.
Reminds me of when we were moving from Gladys- I put a big cardboard box on the arm of the couch and carefully placed everything that was in the corner cabinet in it. Then I bumped into the box and knocked it off into the floor. Broke every mirror on every truck in it.

I always wanted to visit Australia, until I learned that every single bird, insect, mammal, and reptile wanted to kill me.

Reminds me of an ad I saw yesterday-
When I was a kid, many, many, years ago, I think we got 50 cents for a bale of straw. We did a lot of combining for other people, and we'd ask if they wanted the straw. If they did we'd cut the wheat low, if they didn't we'd cut it high so we could cover more ground faster with the combine. Most people did not want the straw, but if they could have gotten that kind of money for a bale I'm sure everybody would have baled the straw.
