OK thanks I think that was the guy that asked me to borrow my yard bought a R model  water truck  close to here can’t remember. I’m getting old when memory is fading. Thanks for that. From what I remember he was always on here. I think it was a Cattle  driver, but it was dipping into everything for what I remember.Bob

That was Rob who bought the water truck, a tan colored R model. He kind of comes and goes here, and is well liked. He disappeared once for a few years and then came back like he'd never left. I wish he'd reappear, he was another who's just a wealth of knowledge and will help anybody with anything.

  2. Kind of hard for me to take somebody seriously when he's covered in tattoos and nose rings and face piercings, but that guy makes some good points. I was with him right up until the end. I didn't drink light beer when I was younger, but that's all I have drank for years now, for the most part. There's a lot of calories in that delicious beer- a lot. And it's a lot harder to work them off now that I'm much older than I used to be.

I can go out and putter around in the yard or garden and drink light beer all day. If I was drinking regular Yuengling or something I'd be done after a few beers and have to take a nap.

And I like the taste too, so there's that.

Oooooooooooo by the way, Tom, who is the good looking peach????? And why are you moving?

I have no idea Bob, but that was the best looking Miller Lite picture I found. I found it on the Miller Facebook page, and I think she does an excellent job of promoting their product.

We're moving to Appomattox just to be closer to family. I lived in Appomattox before for more than 25 years. And it's also kind of "our" place. I was with my wife who passed away in 2005 in Appomattox before, was here with Jo for the most part, so the place in Spout Spring will be mine and Zina's place.

I do like it here, it's quiet and peaceful, but the new place should be too. My son and grandson live in Pamplin so we'll be a lot closer to them, and closer to my family in Cumberland county. Hell, we'll be closer to everything!

I love that International Cabover as well!!

That was a lucky shot- Zina saw it first and said "here comes a cabover". I just happened to have my phone in my hand looking for something on Google maps so I was able to get that picture. If I hadn't had it in my hands I would have never gotten it in time.

My god that’s some giant candy store. Thanks, Tom…. Bob

Yes, he's got loads of old trucks there, lots of B models, and pretty much whatever else you can think of. I don't know what they're going to do with them. P.L. passed away a few years ago and his sons still run the trucking company, and as far as I know all the old trucks are still there.

  6. I saw that on Facebook yesterday. There and right here were the only places I knew him from. I never met him in person, but he's been here forever it seems like. That was enough to tell me what a genuine good person he was.
