  1. Welp, the folks at Lynchburg Nissan called back. They said it looked like a mouse had made a nest in the air box, and damaged a "something or other" sensor, so they're going to clean it, fix it, and put a new air filter in it. None of which is covered by the famous "Mabry Million Mile Warranty".

"No ma'am, it doesn't cover rodent damage".

I don't think it was mice, I'd be more inclined to believe it was these squirrels and chipmunks that are always running around out here.

That looks good! If its not a secret what's all in it? We grow a lot of peppers but something about the soil or the hard water makes them unbearably hot.

It's not a secret at all. I came up with this through years of trial and error. I had no idea how to make hot sauce. When I first started making hot sauce I pretty much just ground the peppers up in the blender with enough vinegar to liquify it, then I added some salt, boiled it in a pot, then poured it into bottles. Usually I used recycled hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, the little wine bottles, etc. to put it in. When I read the ingredients on hot sauce bottles they all said "vinegar, peppers, salt", so that's what I used.

I still use the same 'gredients but I do it a little different now. I cook the peppers in a crock pot with vinegar, salt, and minced garlic until it's pretty much mush. THEN I liquify them with a blender, adding more vinegar if needed to get it to the right consistency.  Zina has a hand held blender that's like a small outboard motor and I liquify it right in the crock pot. I think it's a 12 horsepower. Then I strain it before I bottle it, so there's no "pulp" in it. And I use new bottles instead of recycling old ones. It's different every year because I never have the same amount of the same peppers. Last year I used cayennes, tabascos, jalapenos, the little red super hot ones, and Serrano's.

But that's how I make it, I pick the peppers and put them in the freezer until they're all picked, then I make the sauce, and cowboy candy with some of the jalapenos.

😂  I'm glad at least someone knows what song I mean .

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's been posted here before when another member called me an a-hole, in a roundabout way.🤣

Well, after Hippy's comment I figured out which B-model that was. Great looking truck.

I remembered the moment but almost forgot the background. Many thanks for the picture. Ummm...  I don't mean the ice cream cone one.

I have one of you and me too, but I didn't think anybody wanted to see that 🤣

I thought I had a picture of all 3 of us, but apparently not.

  5. Here's a girl in a car eating an ice cream cone. Funny, I was just posting this when Zina came in and said "whatcha doin'?''

I said "oh nuthin', just posting a picture of a girl in a car eating an ice cream cone".

"And they wonder why they are called STEALERSHIPS and why people hate them. "

Somebody finally called her back, said it would be tomorrow before they can look at it. Only good thing about it is that it conked out here instead of Macungie or halfway to Florida.

    OK!! What was it????????????

We don't know about the Nissan yet, she called this morning but couldn't get anybody in the service department. Somebody is supposed to call her back but they haven't yet. She called an hour ago.

My only thought is when the truck was produced they didn't expect it running faster than 35. Or maybe they saw that possible ocassionally and that is why the shaft has kept its place on the truck, not on the ground.

Speaking the expences it may be seen as you threw some coins into the shaft repair instead of having a zero worth truck. As long as you could not drive it anymore. And now with the new shaft you can.

It seems though we are hijacking Tom's thread. Regardless the subject has some relation to it.

That's what we do here in Odds and ends Vlad, you know that. I'll even hijack my own thread-

So, it must not pay to go to Home Depot on Sundays, especially Easter Sunday. The last time I was at Home Depot was when we went to get a freezer last summer. The starter locked up on the red Ford pickup when we were leaving and I had to get it towed. I filed the burs off all the teeths on the flywheel and put a starter on it, been starting ok ever since.

Today Zina wanted to get some flowers so we drove the Zinamobile Nissan Titan to Home Depot. And on the way back, about halfway up Oxford Furnace Hill it just quit. It would start and run for about 3 seconds then cut off. I coasted it back down the hill and into a driveway so it's off the road. I called a ride to take us home and a tow truck to take the Zinamobile to Lynchburg Nissan. Sounds like a fuel pump issue.  Good thing it has the top to bottom, front to back, complete warranty on it, even the towing is included. Only has 21,000 miles on it.

Isn’t that Tom? I am not sure that thing would look better under me ha ha… bob

Yes, that's when I was young and handsome. That picture was taken about 30 years ago.

Wow! This makes me smiling ear to ear wide!

I may also mention I ocassionally wear a F.L.Moore cap you presented to me and make marks in a desk copybook by a Kroger Pharmacy pen.

    That's great!

Glad to hear I could please Zina. Say hello to her if she still remembers me.

I saw that brown L-model at Macungie. The colors looked nice and the cleanness of the paint job overall was impressive.

Yes, of course she remembers you. Every time I'm on BMT she asks if I've heard anything from Vlad.

The tyres look no less than 37". Must be a cool dirt cruiser with so small chassis weight.

Those were the 12.50/38 Super Swampers. I had a set of 38s and a set of 36" Swampers so I could run it in 2 different classes.

Wonderful purchase. Maybe you could ask if one of these drivers would like to drive it to the show.

Many Inter R 190 and 200 owners in Australia used to bend that gear lever up near vertical from about 3-4 inches below the 2 spd button, so the lever would not touch the seat base and more user friendly for shifting gears. It was bent enough to not touch the dash board. I will see if I can find a picture of a bent lever.

The only issue with driving it to Macungie is the distance, Google says it's 368 miles from here, and the fact that we usually leave there and go to Connecticut to see Zina's dad. I don't like to go to Connecticut but her dad is either 89 or 90 now, so...

I don't know about insurance yet either, I went with Gulfway when I had that mixer truck, but they're no longer in business. But they had mileage restrictions and if I put antique tags on it that comes with some restrictions too, so I'll have to check into all that.
