Thats what i think is the case. However, its obvious that im not a good study of the constitution.

I think so too. Don't worry, if we're wrong I'm sure the smartest one on here will set us straight pretty quick.🤣

Girls back in the 80's were so much better looking

I have to say, that Susanna Hoffs is one of the most beautiful wimmens ever, in my opinion.

I don't know anything about Nena, but every time I hear that song nowadays all I think about is this-

And I've seen ZZ Top in concert more than any other band, but I've always regretted not going to see them in Roanoke when they were with George Thorogood.

  3. We watched this TV show a while back called Outlander. Actually it's a series, had about 8 or 10 seasons. Y'all might have heard of it, but it was new to me. There's so many shows on so many channels now it's hard to keep up with them all.

But somebody told Zina about it, she started watching it, so I started watching it, so she went back to the beginning. And it's really good, seems to be historically accurate too, very entertaining show if you're looking for something to watch.

Thanks for the information. I doubt that many people have any real knowledge of what is being produced in China.

I remember many years ago when I was picking up a load at a port somewhere and they were unloading John Deere tractor parts off of a ship. And someone said "but I thought John Deere tractors were made in the U.S.!"

And we were told "they're ASSEMBLED in the US, but all the parts come from overseas".

Trucks are way overpriced. Might not be so bad if you didn't have to deal with all the headaches that come with them now too. Even warranty doesn't help cause no one is really good at fixing them (or if there is a good mechanic he's so overwhelmed it's pathetic) New trucks aren't such a good investment right now, too much lined up against whoever is buying them. Let alone that changes by the week anymore.

True that! I was out with Jeff Moore a couple of weeks ago and he said all the new trucks they're getting are well over $200,000 now.

I saw a 2022 Peterbilt for sale the other day and they wanted over $300,000 for it. When I first started driving one of Jeff's trucks he traded the 2000 model W900L I was driving for this 2006 Peterbilt. The Peterbilt was only a year old, only had around 100,000 miles on it. 550 Cat, 18 speed, lots of stainless steel and chrome, top of the line interior, all LED lights, etc. And he paid right around $100,000 for it.

And you're lucky to even make a trip without an engine light coming on with these new trucks. But I have to say, I had my share of issues with this Pete too. It had the ACERT engine and it had many "intake valve actuator fault" issues.

I think maybe it broke down too much for the previous owner and that's why he only had it a year, but I don't know.

Tom l surprised you don't have any young wimmin washing and waxing that truck yet!        .....Hippy

She was supposed to be cleaning the interior of the big green International that runs now, but I caught her taking an unauthorized beer break. I didn't fire her or anything because I really like how she works.

I was wondering about that truck, I was reminded of it too. I used to pass by it every time I went to load at Lane Steel in Mckees Rocks. I took several pictures of it too.

Most times they say don’t run 5th with the axle in low is because it’s not a progressive shift from 4th over. With 5th being overdrive and depending on the two ratios in the rear it actually makes 5th under slightly lower than 4th over. At least that’s the way it was on ford and Chevy medium duty trucks with Eaton two speed rears. If 5th was direct then 5th under was a progressive shift from 4th over.

I was going back searching for a picture and ran across this old post. No worries here, turns out that transmission is NOT an overdrive unit, and it will NOT run 70 mph. unless you drove it off the side of the grand canyon, and nobody would "drive it most anywhere" when I first got it, unless you hired a wrecker to follow you. 🤣

This thread made me think of a B model that has been siting outside in the same sport on the outskirts of Pittsburgh for literal decades. I honestly remember seeing this truck sit in the exact same spot back when I was a toddler riding in a car seat in the late 1980s. It hasn't moved since and actually doesn't look bad at all. Right on PA51 in McKees Rocks, PA. I was through there about a month ago and its still there....
