Nassau County Police recovered most of my Hemi and both Max Wedges, all missing carbs when they were brought to Glen Cove Auto Salvage scrap. They are now in possession of the N.C.P.D. This was one of the yards that posted a flyer behind the counter with info on the engines and a reward for their recovery and arrest.
The shit hit the fan at home, because it was my grandson and a "friend" of his that stole them I am supposed to look the other way. I told my son and daughter in law that I am not stopping what ever occurs with the police, DA and courts. A thief is a thief, family stealing from family is about as bad as it gets. If the do not like it than don't cross my path again. My son told his wife to suck it up and take what ever he has coming.
That is the only way he will learn,

They called the original mack H model (H-61) the cherry picker because it was so high. Later on they dropped the heigth by about a foot (H-67). At the now defunct (unfortunately) truck museum in Connecticut I stood next to an IH cabover DC 405? (before the emeryville). The one that had the little IH comfort cab on top( same as r-190 cab). This thing was tall. I'm guessing maybee higher than the cherry picker. It was dark blue as I remember. There was also a KW bullnose (light blue) there and the IH was definately higher.
Would that happen to be the Golden Age of Trucking Museum?

I actually told Papa we should have a show called Mack hunters and just go out and find old Macks. But we don't have the cash to bring all them trucks home.
Thats what i would do if i won the lotto

I think a lot more hard work, time, and money goes into these trucks then cars

Snow aint white cause of tha pollution of yo truck man!, I do love to make the Superdog lay down a good cloud in town when I can, pretty easy with no puff limiter really shift early get the rpm down to about 900 and roll into about half throttle, instant smoke screen.
Everybody loves it when ours goes through the center of town you cant see behind you fro a good 30 seconds

George Young also has 2 RD800 with V8s they were featured in Bulldog Magazine in 2011

Go to a junk yard and get one. then go to Mack with the vin and axle number. Get the extra steer box as if you put 425's on a single box is a bear to turn. did this to my Pete
Our RD turns perfectly fine with 425s, they are better/stronger tires and don't blow where as 385s do alot

Our '01 E7 has Renault and Mack on the block but when Renault got Mack they were trying to financially stabilize Mack where as Volvo is trying to destroy it.

Some random shots. Old White Oak fuel rig and a few Beard Concrete Mixers
The white B-61 at the end was the first mack with a lift-axle on it from the factory. It was featured at the world's fair in New York City in 1964. Beard ended up with it and broke the frame behind the cab. Agra Tucking of North Branford ended up with it and a bunch of other trucks.

Someone with A LOT of money needs to take the risk and expense to buy Mack from Volvo and rebuild it into the great truck it was at one time. We went out get parts for trucks that are in the late 80s the other day and the guy told us that ever since Volvo acquired Mack they have been trying to get rid of the trucks. They don't want to produce parts so they can sell new trucks. Mack don't even rebuild their own stuff he said if its older then a granite. The dealers themselves have to have private companies to do it. In my opinion Volvo has ruined the once great Mack name. I guess that might be one reason the newest truck we run is a '01 and the rest are in the '80s and anything we buy has a mechanical in it that you don't need a computer to fix.

Mack uses different designed front axles then everybody else does so your better off finding a Mack one

G.J. Wiggers Construction Co. Old Tappan,NJ......................................................Mark
Those tires look too small nothing like the good old 12.00R24

Whoa. Glad you guys are alright. Any pictures? I know your not supposed to get out if the vehicle if lines come down. But here's a serious question, what do you do in that situation?
You stay in the truck and don't touch anything until they cut the power. If you touch the ground you ground yourself and then your fried. and as above if burning jump without completing circuit

By the way that's an RB in the picture not a RD
-
I just thought of that it sounds like a bad ground. To check it take a pair of jumper cables and attach them to the cab and attach the other end to the frame and then try it and see what happens. If this is the problem, run a ground wire from the frame to the cab.

Check the connection to the solenoid and the starter
