Our town is buying a new rescue truck to replace two other trucks and the people who spec'd them out wanted to build it on a Freightliner however our public works got 1 Freightliner and about 8 Mack RDs and the freightliner cant plow at the same time its got a load of salt on it because it don't have the power where as the macks keep going and don't even strain so they don't want another headache and went with a custom chassis instead

We have a 2001 RD with a E7-350 with an 8LL and it does the same thing and i still think the Avon Mountain crash was caused by the same problem because we know a bunch of people with the same specs as our RD and their 8LL have the same problem. Also the truck was up at Gabrielli Mack 3 times and they kept saying it was poppet springs and balls until the warranty ran out and then changed forks, complete bearing kit, and sliding clutches and expected us to pay for it and it still jumped out on the way home from there

The haul of fame truck museum located on packer rd. in Canterbury ct is a really cool place. Every once in a while I will drive through the yard full of old iron lots of cranes and dozers and then a trip down "memory lane" an old bone yard that's really starting to thin out. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew about this place. The actual museum is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If your close enough take a ride through and check it out. Also I talked with Dennis Yaworski(owner) tonight and he reminded me that there is another museum located close by and is open daily.
Do you happen to know where this other museum is located?

I think this is the U-model, Umodelnut was talking about. It was in BKrois photo collection.

pretty sure the orange one had last of the liter or something on the hood at Springfield. your probably right tho.
I believe Yaworski still has the "End of the Line" one and the orange one was within the last 40 built which Yaworski use to own

Have a two stick 6 speed. Good for use or good rebuild-able core.
