  1. I know. My '98 CH with 13spd and 4.17 gears got better mpg then my '12 CHU with Mdrive direct and 2.64 gears. And that's suppose to be the best setup for mpg. I know some people that have made "outlaw trucks" meaning deleting the emmisions and they are gaining 1- 1.5 mpg better. Along with more HP. If I am off road I use the manual setting, but if I'm just pulling in a yard or trying to keep it slower going I put it in performance mode to keep it in gear longer. I really wish it had a LL and low reverse. Sweet looking ride by the way.
  2. Sorry to hear that your father got hurt, but that's awesome he got right back at it. I don't think I would have gone back that soon, lol I've always heard the taperleaf was really good and I've heard many say it rode better then air ride. But I guess I should start believing cause I've heard it so many times. I always thought that was always a factory sleeper. That's cool that I got him to finally wave to me since he normally doesn't.
  3. I don't know where they went, but about 2 months ago they started disappearing and think they are all gone now.
  4. I didn't realize the sleeper truck had air ride. I saw it again today. I've heard that if you wanted to swap out for air ride that using one from a CH gives a better ride. Is that true? Does you father drive the sleeper truck? He finally started waving back to me, lol
  5. I know these are not MACKs, but thought these were some cool pics from Sunrise and Yazel yard. And an pretty decent Axel trailer.
  6. Saw a couple RBs and an RD You can still see the Horizon logo faded in the door.
  7. These DMs were also in the yard. From the plates they have not been on the road since '96
  8. So I had off today and Snake and I were running some errands and I got some good pics. I believe the green RDs are former Plote trucks and the white with orange stripes might be old Lowe trucks. One of my friends thinks the brownish R might be an old Waste Management truck. These pics were taken on Virginia in in the owner of Sunsets yard next to Waste Management. I'm guessing they are for sale. They just showed up,this week.
  9. Are you going to paint this one orange and white? I see the Granites all the time up and down 47.
  10. last week I was on East Sandwich Rd south of Hinkley and saw two R models with hoppers in the field with a Gleaner combine. Was pretty cool cause you don't see that too often. Was on the phone and couldn't take a picture. Went by on my next round to take a picture and they were already gone. Dose anyone know who's they are?
  11. I've been seeing the R model with sleeper Rollin down 72 by Kirkland this week. I drool every time I see it.
  12. That don't surprise me. They actually do a good job, but I heard they were very pricey.
  13. Now I don't feel cool, lol I thought the CHU was more of an "owner operator" truck. I'll have a Superdog some day.
  14. Do you guys consider the axle forward CH/CHU a modern Superliner?
  15. Superdog, I saw that video on MACK's FB page with your truck in it. That is AWESOME!!!!! Where did they film that?
  16. The best part about that job is that it is gonna be totally redone in five years, lol
  17. Yes they did. I think about 5 years ago. Though from what I heard they didn't really buy them. Royer owed them so much money that a deal was made that they just took Royer over. If you look closely there is a small Curran sticker of the trucks.
  18. R&B Paving is two guys from Royer Asphalt that went on their own couple of years ago. One of then is Bobby Sipes. The R model with the floaters sure looks like an old Parking Lot Services truck.
  19. And to think back in the day everyone was excited for the new CH with bigger cab, and now everyone wants the R model back, lol I know my cousin said his father was pissed that he bought a new R in '89 and was upset that he didn't wait for the CH to come out, lol
  20. Thanks for the picture. I would love to see more. What is the difference in a CH600 and CH613?
