  1. E6 is 11 liters E7 is 12 liters. Mack built a 454hp mechanical engine i can't see getting another 50hp with some aftermarket mods being a issue maybe im wrong.
  2. Im driving a X15 Pete atm i really like the power
  3. Thanks Paul there's allot of great information in that post. I think this can be done reliably
  4. E7 they made a 454 i was thinking build the same spec +10%. Willing to spend $$ like ceramic coating pistons after market turbo , over sized after cooler and full tilt exhaust manifold witch flows 20% more
  5. My max will be 80,000 sometimes 88,000. Worst mountains would be fancy gap and sandstone.
  6. I think you may be right saddly
  7. Im not asking the engine to climb the Rockies. Not asking for engine to make a million miles. Worst MT it will see in 77 or 68 wv va
  8. I was thinking the same thing. Its going to be a total out of frame is just want a clear plan before I start. Was going to do full tilt exhaust manifold bigger turbo injectors ect.
  9. That's what I was thinking to
  10. Im doing regional end dump. Im starting to think about fitting a 3406C. I'd like to do a E9 but parts availability isn't great. Might just go to another brand. Ive always owned Macks.
  11. Im looking for a clear path to build a E7 350hp mechanical engine to 500hp and as much tq as I can get. The engine must be able to live 500k miles and not need someone to babysit Pyro. Thx guys
  12. Looking good keep the updates coming. I buy these older trucks and put them to work alot of guys use them as show trucks I like to run a little different.
  13. I still run older equipment like this everyday and have had good luck doing it. What I have found out is if it needs something just do it down to the inside light.
  14. I'm wondering if it was a glider ? I emailed them and ask for picture of the motor no reply yet. I like the older mechanical stuff. I rebuild them into a workable unit and put them on the road. I know the R600 was a glider The one in my pic was a R600 I built into a RD688SX
  15. I'm kinda old school on how I do things I look at these new automatics as more stuff to break. I would to a Mack 13 speed and rears because of the heavy haul app and they are proven to get the job done.
  16. I would also go with the MP 8 505 hp. Yes the MP 10 is a big bad motor but I have seen people having mixed reviews on it as the MP 8 seems good to go.
  17. I would go for the CHU Rawhide it is a truck you can take care of and keep for many many years.
  18. I didn't know that. Is the Vision still the cx ?? I know the Rawhide flat front CH looking truck is badass hahahaha. They need to stop changing their stuff.
  19. If you are looking at newer Macks I would go for the CHN with the 505hp mp8 with a 13 speed.
  20. Had a new drive shaft made old one had a decent sized dent and one of the ujoints was locked up. Wow what a difference that made. I have always shook my drive line down everytime I greased it and no movement at all. Seen the small dent took it off to a trusted drive line company and he did all repairs but that one cost a G.
  21. I'm looking for a sleeper truck with wet line. I have been hunting for almost a month and drove and walked away from a couple of CX613's because of the amount of blow by. I have a 90 RD 688 roll off with a EM6 300 that I'm almost sick of working on haha. I will try to post a pic of the truck see what you guys think. It also has a EM7 is that a mechanical engine ? 600k miles on it for $12,500
  22. I have spokes on the back inside rim was bent 90% of it is gone I will keep you informed what I find.
  23. Just to keep cost down I would go with a E6 or E7 engine. The E9 is very costly and parts are getting hard to come buy. Well whatever you do let us know. The E9 is not a bad engine.
  24. What engine ? MP7 ?
  25. I always liked the Superliner and R model but the new CHN is pretty badass.
