those 8 spoke rears are 80,000 lb rears , also if you noticed it had juice brakes on the rear axles another trait for the 80,000 lb Mack rears

I found a 1974 Dm897sx heavy hauler, triple frame , 65 rears 23 front, winch, cab is fair to rough cond. frame has only very minor spreading in the back , orig. 865 v8 and 12 speed, runs good. The owner knows I want it, because I hunted him down to find out if he'll sell it, of course he goes "go check it out again and make me a offer" . Whats would you guys say is a fair price for it?? I had the $5,000 to $6,000 range in mind what you think

If anyone needs me to check it out for them let me know I live 15 mins for where this truck is located.

I may be interested in the 12 speed if it is an o/d unit.

I wish you a lot of luck on finding one. My B8136 had one, and over the past 4 years I have yet to find one. the only person that I know that hashad one on a truck one is Ed Kaserman. His wife told me that he sold the truck a few years ago. I do have a print and an operations manual but absolutley no luck in finding one. You could get them eighter in an axle-mount or a mid-mount configuration.
Just wondering if you could post the print or email it to me , just want to see what looked like and how it worked thanks Brian -Bad1989gt1@aol.com

I found a B87 with oil field bed on it in WV last week. Sitting in a truck repair joint all fenced in. Pretty sad looking piece, but usable.
Place was locked up tight, and can't find phone number using internet. Can't find address either(pretty lame huh?). It was at Rt 21 and Rt 77 in WV, right behind fuel stop on NE side of highway.

I was driving around on RT1 in Milford CT and found a very good parts or restore B81sx it is a cememt truck , now but it has a triple frame , non turbo mack i beleive a 711, 58 or 65 rears, 20 sp. , has good condition air tag , cab is rough, frame has very little rust and only a tiny bit of spreading in the last foot of the frame, just figured someone here could use it , the phone number on the window was (203)874-1618, no price on it ,at Beard cement rt1 Milford Ct

yea I have seen him listed on the b model registery , have tried emailing him but he never replies, thats half my problem finding people that will part with them , I have found 3 , 1 in ny , 1 in pa , and 1 in ct , all that the owners won't part with , I will just continue the hunt thanks for the reply , and the truck you were talking about with the front drive is a B8136sx later Brian
