I dont know but i'd buy it anyway...your bound to get some numbers off the chassis or engine/gearbox that the guys could trace.once in a lifetime chance.im sure someone who knows/has an AC could tell you where to look.best of luck with it.

    Paul

Contact Gary Mahan at the Mahan foundation in Basking Ridge NJ.  He and his people probably have the most information on AC Macks in the country. At least they can tell you where to look for more numbers. Once you have a serial number, then contact the Mack Museum in Allentown PA and they can likely send you more information about who originally bought it.

  2. First try to find all the data plates you can.. Including both the chassis and whoever made the pump and body.. As FWD said with the serial number the Mack can provide a lot of info.. They are GREAT!!!! With the apparatus manufacturer and their data plates there are many sources for info and parts.

  3. Our ex chapter president has a similar Mack that he hauls his 5th wheel toy hauler (fits a Smart car in) camper with.. I do not have an interior picture, But he replaced the mattress in the bunk with a bench seat complete with belts for his grand kids car seat.

  4. Paul, DO NOT knock the highway system in Australia!!! You may not have the Interstate system we have, except around the major cities, But your Main 4 lane and 2 lane highways are equal to our older US and Major State highways with stop lights, driveway access, villages and small cities..... The no shoulder thing also applies here except for the northern 1/3 of the country where they need a place to push the snow.. We do not have the dirt roads in rural areas like you do in the Outback, but I presume as more traffic grows you are extending the paved (Bitumen) roads. On our 2013 trip to Alaska I ran about 150 miles of dirt road from Tok AL to Dawson YK, 10 miles of rough grade construction, But the rest was smooth enough to run 40 to 50 MPH.

  5. We had steak the other night.. Even had leftovers! Cut them up in small pieces to add the the Bird's Eye Viola beef lo mein.. That is a good kit if you add more meat, onions, and mushrooms ( use the juice from a small can instead of the water the kit calls for) and add some soy sauce and 5 Aaisin spice powder, and whatever you want to enhance it...

I am glad that I live out in the boondocks!!!! Even in town, Laurens SC, Our heaviest traffic from 4 to 6 PM is what you consider light.. I live on a fairly main road and only hear a siren go by the house maybe once a week..

and brocky,,,as far as running around goes,,,,after a million years in these big rigs,,,,i dont really like to drive anywhere,,,,bob

I am with you and Other Dog, After all interstates and tight time schedules, I run the back roads as much as possible.. We did a lot of traveling soon after we retired.. The big one was to the ATHS show in Yakima Wash. All back roads west of the Appalachian Mountains, with the exception of when the old US highway got on an Interstate for a few exits.. With a slight detour by way of Fairbanks Alaska!! 6 weeks and 15k miles on the ground not counting the ferry from Bellingham WA to Haines AK. We went to the first ATHS show in Reno and back roads from west of Nashville. Could not do the Rocky Mtn Natl Park as US 36 thru the park was still closed by snow on the first of June!!, But did US 50 all the way from Provo UT to Reno.

Well, I’m gonna go try to mess around a little bit outside. Weather is already shitty. And getting worse.  Bob

You are retired now!! Just sit in the kitchen and watch it out the window!!! It is sunny and in the 70's here and I am trying to work up the ambition enough to go into town to the grocery and drug store..

Then he got sick again, I think it was cancer that finally got him??????? He had a lot of stuff!!! Heard about 150 Macks of some description parked in the Cow Pasture behind his farm. His son, Mikey, was on here for a while after Mike Passed, But have not heard from him lately..
