Im always a day late and a dollar short Lucerne... Id sure like to have at least one of those bumpers, not scared to pay the freight either... Hopefully someone could pick them up... I found one around here but still in need of another.. Have a good one

Found two rd take off bumpers with the grille guards on them that were taken off to mount plow frames, They are on craigslist .. Id love to have them both but have no way of getting them here.. Im in illinois. Here's the link http://york.craigsli...3035377872.html
I guess they are in dallastown, pa , after a second look

Not sure sounds like you know what your doing, our trucks do not have engine brakes

Is the linkage moving the lever all the way open?
Took the words right out of my mouth , if it was loose it probably isn,t in the right spot to open the throttle all the way .. Have someone hold the pedal down, and then see if you can open it any further on the pump, if it moves a little farther adjust it again , it's night and day power difference

Don't sweat it... I took my air brake and combo test 2 times and the dmv lady said i need to go home and study the book a little more. I told her i was ready to take it again and she replied id have to wait 30 days or whatever it is if i failed again... Took it the third time and passed... Alot of the questions are worded to mess you up, just think them through , you'll be fine.

Bring it up to Walcott,IA in July.
Do you have any more info on that show superdog? Id love to see some ole macks, autocar's or brock's ..... Seems there is more and more ole mack's showing up around southern illinois all the time... I guess people are starting to find out what a truck is ..

Hey Rob, is there any certain place you get these bushings ... never looked into it , but seems like it might be a good idea . . Always trying to improve these heavy gals

Great point david... now that i remember when i drove the 98 rd that was a mechanical engine, we had two times that i remember the truck slowly getting less and less power... each time it was the linkage on the throttle where it pinches the shaft on the pump, had gotten loose... If that makes sense ... the truck would only run around 54 mph and wouldn't get out of its own way before we found it the first time, and once fixed/tightened it would pull much harder and run right around 68-70 mph loaded ... Its worth a shot and an easy fix

It is a mechanical engine. The first computerized engines that we have are 99 and up e7's .. I don't know why it doesn't run good we have two 95 mechanical rd's with e7's in them and they will pull just as well as the computerized dogs, if not better. I prefer a mechanical engine.. Either way these are great engine's ... The trucks we run are mixers and dumps that gross anywhere from 50,000 to 63,000 .

Wish i was close enough to bring my mack to a show, The ole dm laughs at every other tandem it see's around here .....

Id put a dump bed on that blue beast and rock some more lease roads of illinois.... My chiropractor would be proud...

Just bought one the other day while i was waiting for a part at the mack dealership, I just told them i needed a bug shield and the guy plopped one on the table, didnt even tell him what it went on.. It mounts/pinches the back legs of the bulldog , it would work fine on an rd, mine went on a dm, i like it..

dam you rob, i have room to store that generator..... just bring it over

Very interesting read... We'll keep our 01 and older macks serviced and rebuild them as long as it's possible ..
