  1. Rfcdrum I'm not sure about the lines being crossed because the truck was on a job when this happened, however long story short there is a range valve to the passenger side of the trans that was leaking a bit of air. We put a new top plate on it from a new valve and also switched the shifter head so the lines were all switched.... Well .... After we traced the lines on one of our dm's to make sure they were all right on the problem truck (they were not) , we got them hooked up correctly and now that the range valve isn't leaking and the lines are correct it works like it should ... What a mess ..

  2. Hello, i have a problem of a maxitorque 2080 just blowing air whenever trying to get it into high low or reverse? If you put the shifter in neutral it quits leaking air , but if you put it in high low or reverse it just blows air out of the valve on the drivers side of the transmission (which is a new valve) we replaced . it will not go into drive or reverse and everything in the shifter head is good . no bad o rings etc . have any of you had this problem ? Any help would be appreciated

  3. Does look like one Mt. Carmel's trucks, doesn't it? The company I work for had a ton of those,as mixers. They got rid of them because too many guys were falling (not paying attention,I guess),while getting out of them,,,, DOH!!

Thats who i was thinking of, and their always hauled to wherever they have jobs..I would hate to drive that monster very far, liable to beat you to death

  4. I look forward to the completion of this as I am sure it will look great! I agree with some of the others though, you might be better off without the muffler as it will hide the sound of the turbocharger (and you wouldn't want that!). Twenty years ago I drove a 1976 International Loadstar 1850 tandem axle gravel truck (for my dad's excavating business), powered by a International DT466 with a 13 speed Fuller and it had a straight pipe. Every time I would shift, it let out a loud whine from the turbo (similar to the sound of an air-starter). I remember when my dad drove the truck, I would be at home and hear him coming from two miles away because of the turbo whine whenever he would shift gears. I love that sound!

I know that exact sound , nothing really compares to it, we had a single axle dt466 international that was without a muffler for about a year, every time we had a small load of gravel I would run to the truck so I'd get to piss everyone in town off ....that's one he'll ov an engine , I'd almost compare it to a Mack but I won't go there
