  1. I seriously love the look of that gm, and i am totally not a gm guy, for some reason i have always liked different looking rigs, probably the reason we have 5 new to us dm690s with the offset cab, the reason i love them is because there not some sleek looking peterliner, and will do their job 200 percent better than the peteroadtrucks . Where i live anyway

  2. Looking to shave some weight off of some dm690's , they were originally concrete trucks (were converting to dumps) and had the hyd pump mounted out in front of the hood , with the heavy heavy bumpers on front, wanting to find the bumpers that mount just in front of the hood. We have a shop and can cut and weld to make them fit like they should , anyone have anything reasonably priced out there, also im located in southern illinois and am willing to drive some distance to find what i am looking for.. Also some of our rd bumpers look to be the same mount as the lighter dm's im sure alot of them interchange, i just don't know which ones . Let me know what you have

  3. The two trucks we went and picked up (concrete trucks , being converted to dumps) were saved from getting exported they were all dm690s, 18 of them went to the dominican republic, and they had 6 left luckily we kept two of them in america, seller said the 18 were drove from dawsonville georgia to a miami to be shipped and not one of them hand any trouble making the trip, of course one of the ones we bought broke a rocker arm ,,, but its home now ,

  4. Yeah no kiddin rob, Mack was supposed to have the rocker in chattanooga, and have it shipped out the next day, however called back and they said they had to drive down to atlanta and pick it up themselves.. I was pretty pleased with their service and price, as i couldn't hardly sleep leaving a mack behind.

  5. Picked up in dawsonville georgia, We bought two, one made it home the other made it about 90 mile north of nashville and broke the rocker on the number 5 cylinder, took us 5 hours down and 6 hours and some change on our way back today as she'd only run right around 64-65 mph. Which is plenty back home.. And your not kiddin about the whole illinois thing, wow, what a mess we have... not to get political but we oughta give chicago away, lol... if that would be possible..

  6. Hey guys, and gals, glad to be part of the forum .. I like learning about these ole macks as we run them daily in the concrete industry, and actually just got back from a 12 hour trip picking up a dm690s which we left behind the first trip down that had problems on the way home but luckly was close enough to an exit with a shop close enough to fix it in one week. Another broken rocker, which is not our first one, but hopefully our last.. sure makes alot of racket. Anywho, Thanks for having me. :SMOKIE-RT:
