What better way to bring classic cars to a show then by way of a classic truck. I am looking into buying a Mack B-61 tandem. The car carrier will hold 7 cars and the loaded trailer will weigh about 42,500. A friend of mine thought that it would be real slow going with a 673. How much better would a 673 turbo run? I would like to run around 65-70mph---if the gearing allows. I don't really want to slow down to 10mph going up hills. What do you guys think about this situation? Barry Posted March 16, 2006 Share Posted March 16, 2006 I think a 673 would have enough balls to run 65-70. but it all depends on the running gears...I would go with a 237 re-power though, just because parts are getting harder to find for the 673's...just my 2 cents worth...
