red bumper Posted 20 hours ago Share Posted 20 hours ago Hello, I have a 2013 Mack CXU 613 with an engine tick, Upon inspection I found that the #3 engine brake valve spring washer is cracked. The bridge sits down hard on that washer unlike the other engine brake valve bridges that have a small clearance. Solution Joey Mack Posted 18 hours ago Solution Share Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Roll that piston to Top Dead Center, then you can replace the cap. Get some retainers, in case you shoot one to the ceiling. As far as lifting the rocker shaft goes.... i assume you have not done one? If not.... STOP ! Do Not run the engine.... There is a good bit of prep to lift the rocker shaft and putting it back on has MANY steps... We always recommend replacing the rocker bolts, but your truck, your decision.
