Hello, I have a 2013 Mack CXU 613 with an engine tick, Upon inspection I found that the #3 engine brake valve spring washer is cracked. The bridge sits down hard on that washer unlike the other engine brake valve bridges that have a small clearance. I will send a few pictures for reference but my question is, what is the procedure for repairing this before it lets go of my valve and ruins the piston. ~Lamar

Roll that piston to Top Dead Center, then you can replace the cap. Get some retainers, in case you shoot one to the ceiling.

As far as lifting the cam shaft goes.... i assume you have not done one? If not.... STOP !  Do Not run the engine.... There is a good bit of prep to lift the cam and putting it back on has MANY steps...
