Jeffrey 34 Posted 17 hours ago Share Posted 17 hours ago I have a 2006 Mack vision with the 355/380 aset ,when I take off from dead stop it makes no boost and real sluggish until you get rolling good then it’s starts making around 28 boost and runs fine ,truck has 1.5 million miles on engine could low oil pressure cause no boost . Fuel pressure, compression test, proper valve adjustment, cylinder cut out test, .. could it just be tired ? dieselworking Posted 14 hours ago Share Posted 14 hours ago Low oil pressure is not the direct cause of your low/no boost on takeoff — it's more likely VGT actuator issues, turbo vane sticking, or a boost leak. Check those areas first. With 1.5 million miles, you might be looking at wear-related turbo or sensor degradation.
