got what looks like a oil leak developing on my fuel pump.  there is a short approx 12 inch braided hose that comes off the side of the pump that looks like it needs replacing.

my question is does it have to be a braided hose and is this a oil line?

thanks

yes its an oil line..  #4 braided line and some buildable fittings, and you can make the hose yourself, and repair it if something damages it in the future..  but you can also take it to a hose shop and get one made.  I recommend braided line either way..  jojo

It can work, but it is not as flexible, so directing it around corners or bending may be a small challenge..  I doubt it is passing through a narrow area where the larger diameter is a concern..   jojo
