muncieman Posted June 28, 2022 Share Posted June 28, 2022 I have a 65 Mack C85 fire truck with a ENDFT673 diesel in it. Recently I changed the water pump, added a new thermostat and had the radiator re-cored. While it was apart I noticed the water pump had a vent on it, which was leaking. I was unable to find a replacement for it. So I left it off. How important is it to have? My truck doesn't want to build heat. The gauge shows 120 max and even checked with a heat gun, it still only shows 120 at the water manifold. I'm guessing I'm air locked? I don't know. Any help appreciated.
