top tech Posted April 27 Share Posted April 27 got a 2015 mack tractor keep getting code for p001676 replaced both crank and cam sensors benn thru wiring pulled engine checked gear train in back of engine replace idler gear set lash to spec made sure the flywheel dowol was in place after reassembly engine runs great but same code the only code keeps coming back any body got anything else to try ? 0 Mackpro Posted April 27 Share Posted April 27 The cam gear sensor sometimes needs shims on it to get it set right , there is a tool to measure if or how many shims are needed. Also did you the cam gear timing tool with the little rod / pointer that goes in the hole in the block ?
