Interesting Overdrive article on an old Detroit powered Superliner

Recommended Posts

In the early 80's I hauled grain in eastern Washington with a GMC 9500, used to run with a guy that had a 92 powered Superliner with 5" pipes and no muffler... That thing sounded so nice leaving the elevator yards. He was a progressive shifter and never ran it to the governor unless he needed to make a run at a grade. ran with another guy with a KT powered Freightliner Powerliner that made nice music too. Funny thing was, when I got to the river elevators they were both sitting in line ahead of my old 8v-71.
