Nike worked alongside Mack Trucks Australia to launch their NikeWomen Metcon Mack last month, running events from 19th to 28th January. The NikeWomen Metcon Mack was a B-double with a difference - a travelling Nike+ Training Club (NTC), offering training sessions, product trials, and a bespoke Metcon gym. NikeWomen took the Mack on a road trip throughout New South Wales and Victoria, driven by Jess Edwards to encourage women to ‘stop exercising and start training’, a concept designed to give their training a purpose and to support them in achieving their goals. Jess Edwards, better known as Jillaroo Jess, saw fame thanks to her viral ‘jokingly serious’ truck safety video on Facebook. The ‘NikeWomen Metcon Mack’ was a Mack Super-Liner, powered by a 685hp MP10 and equipped with an mDrive automated manual transmission and 36-inch sleeper. The B-Double taut-liner trailer combination was completely transformed into a crossfit gym on wheels, complete with weights, training equipment, sound system, screens, and Nike Master Trainers.
