Ray Hines Posted March 15, 2016 Share Posted March 15, 2016 My 2006 Mack 310m transmisson makes a noise when shifting from 4th to 5th (range selector moved from low to high) It does not make the noise all the time only occasionally, seems to make it more when the tranmission is cooler. If The truck is equipped with a trans cooler and you*ve been loosing coolant check the trans for being over full (antifreeze in the oil will ruin syncros) Also check the yoke bolt be sure its tight also will take out the syncro!
