GearheadGrrrl Posted October 6, 2005 Share Posted October 6, 2005 I'm not much up on the finer points of Mack engine uprating, so I'm wondering if this engine can be upgraded to a higher power rating with just a V-Mac I software reprogramming? rick harper Posted October 7, 2005 Share Posted October 7, 2005 have your local mack dealer fill out the proper form for H.P. conversion. on the cost side and parts it depends on the current H.P. that you have now to what H.P.you want to go for. sometimes it easy and cost effective, sometimes its costly from the engine standpoint and do you have the proper clutch and transmission to handle the extra torque? do your homework or it might comeback and bite you.
