1957B61Vt Posted September 18, 2015 Share Posted September 18, 2015 Hi Have a 1985 R685 with 1070B 12 speed trans It has 14' dump body on it . Telescoping cylBody extremely slow in first and second gear .In first it spins 117 rpm at engine speed of 1500 rpm.It goes up great in 4th gear but can't tailgate spread going that fast do lot of driveways and site work Pto speed in 4th is 450rpm at 1500 engine rpm .Checked with photo tach .I like the truck a lot but I doesn't work for me the way it is .I took pump and body off another working international .Truck was junk but body and pump worked fine on that truck Thanks. e9500v8 Posted September 18, 2015 Share Posted September 18, 2015 You need an engine speed PTO. It goes in the back of trans on through the bottom countershaft cover. Then you don't have to have transmission in gear to run the pto. They are hard to find and expensive. But are the answer to your problem!
