BKrois Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 I'm looking for some insight here. I'm looking at an all wheel drive Mack tandem, it has 46k rears with 5.73 gears. I'd like to shorten the truck and put my 29k rear in. My 29k rear currently has a 6.52 ratio, due to the fact its all wheel drive the ratios have to match. Does anyone know if theres a way to swap the guts from one of the tandem rears (ring&pinion) into the 29k chuck? The 29k rear is a front loader and the 46s top.
