mauricio.sanchez.336717 Posted February 7, 2015 Share Posted February 7, 2015 hope you can help me outI'm buying a 1995 Mack DM6 original dump budy, the truck is really nice but I did not see a switch to lock the rear differential in case it slips. I am not an expert with Mack trucks but the guy who is selling it to me says that this type of truck does it automatically once you shift it in to low gear? Is this true ? alex g Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 It will kick in automatically when you get wheel slip it will have what they call a set of peanuts in the front diff which will engage when needed.In my opinion a diff lock is better but that set up works fine as well.
