lilchris0876 Posted December 3, 2012 Share Posted December 3, 2012 i have a 2000 mack e7 460 ch model that will crank but only idle. when you push pedal nothing happens. already changed throttle pedal and no change. once truck warms up the engine shut down will light up and engine turns off. after that it will crank right back up but only run about a minuite then shuts back down. oil and water are both full. any help or ideas would really help, thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ronnie's companies Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I am having a similar problem my truck starts fine and idles high at 900 rpm but will not accelerate it is also giving a fault code of 6-4 and I am hearing that it may have to do with the ECM/ecu but have not figured it out yet any idea? rhasler Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 6-4 fault code is for the 1939 datalink. The cable allows high speed communication between the EECU (engine) and the VECU (cab). There is a harness connector (triangle shaped) in the engine compartment near where the steering shaft comes out of the cab.
