Mikesbucketlistmack Posted October 11, 2012 Share Posted October 11, 2012 I went to look at a used 1976 single axle R 686T dump that was for sale. After building up the air pressure, I went and released the blue and yellow knobs, and all the air dumped out. The owner insisted that nothing was wrong, and that I only have to push in the yellow knob to release the brakes. He did this and tried to move the truck, but I could hear the brakes squealing as they held the truck back while this guy revved the piss out of the engine to get it to move. Am I wrong, or is there something wrong with this truck ? I really did like it for the price, but was wondering if this is an expensive problem to fix. David Posted October 12, 2012 Share Posted October 12, 2012 If there was a red knob (trailer) and it was also pushed or stuck in, all the air would be dumped out the red glad hand. Also a leak in a hose or diaphragm on a maxi will loose all your air. Push the knobs in and find the air leak. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
