TOMD Posted September 28, 2011 Share Posted September 28, 2011 take oil filters off. get brass punch and hit head of bolts. use long ratchet and cheater bar. once you break bolts loose use 3/8 drive socket because 1/2 drive will get catch up on starter. if you have a 42mt starter with 11 tooth drive gear i suggest using delco starter part number 2132-8200308. gear reduction starter, lighter, with 3 year warranty.use new starter bolts part number 6AM31.
