Looking for a new truck

Recommended Posts

Hi yall, i'm new to the forum and we own a fleet of 5 trucks. We have three mack tri axles that we absolutely love, they run good and have amazing low end power and they're our most reliable trucks, but like all trucks they're getting old. We also have 1 1999 kw with a c13 that runs ok and one 2006 kw with a c13 that causes us nothing but problems. It has no low end power, get the worse mpg and like every other 06 c13....We're in the market for a new tri axle and we're trying to decide whether to try out the ISM in a kw (which we've heard mixed reviews about) or get a newer GU813. I've been talking to people around our area and they say that the mp7 motors have alot of bugs in them, like injector cup problems and cam problems. We're in the business of making money not fixing trucks. I was doing some reading and people were saying that the 2007 on up mp7 motors got the bugs worked out of them....any information on the reliabilty of the mp7 motor would be greatly appreciated. thanks

the mp8's weigh too much so we have to run mp7's in our area. people say the mp7's have good power but i've heard rumors of trouble with the motors. i'm just trying to clarify things

I see you are from Indiana, there are tons of dump trucks and semi dumps that are all over Indiana that haul out of the Delphi Limestone quarry i was wandering if you ever hauled out of there.( more Macks and KW than all the others put together) Ron
