mack man 27416 Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Hi, does anyone know what is going wrong. The clutch fan is constantly on and the AC does not engage. I took it to the Mack dealer and they said it is my clutch fan hub ( it is 9 months old ) I don't buy it. shortstack Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Sounds to me like the A/C high pressure switch is bad making the computer turn fan on and A/C off unless too much freon has been added and high side actually is too high. shortstack Posted July 23, 2011 Share Posted July 23, 2011 I have an '04 CH and it is on the driver side kind of on the side of the radiator. The A/C drier is mounted to the side of the radiator support and the switch is on the drier. Not sure if the CX is the same but I would look for the canister shaped drier. As for the paperclip, I think that would work as I think that switch should be normally closed. Also thought later, what is the engine temp normally?
