Mackr76 Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 Hi, Have posted a question some time earlier about my truck on start up running rough or erratic for short period then clears up and runs fine. Could any one enlighten me on what the overflow valve on the fuel pump does and could this have anything to do with my problem. fjh Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 The valve is there to retain a small amount of fuel preasure in the pump for start up! and to maintain a minimum 15 to 30 psi while running!if you have any air leaks from the heads down to the fuel pump you can end up with starting issues.
