Hi all;

I have a full set of 10R20's on Dayton wheels that I'd really like to run on my '45 EH. I don't know how much wider the wheels are,but I'm wondering,if I go ahead and install these with the spacers for the stock sized 20's,can I use different cleats to make them tighten properly,providing the sidewalls have the clearance they need? :idunno: I'm expecting fender and frame clearance problems on the front,so that's not a big issue. I have enough threads left on the U-bolts to add a couple of inches of spacers on the front springs,should help the fenders clear. for the frame,I'll just cut a notch on each side. Just KIDDING! I'll adjust the stops right at the edge of "RUB". This truck doesn't do U-turns in the middle of the block anyway,so a little larger turning radius won't kill me.

I probably already covered this,so thanks for re-answering my dumb questions. :twothumbsup:

The issue is not the width but the offset. Measure the distance between the lip in the inside of the wheel and the edge of the wheel that goes toward the other wheel on duels. If it's the same as your old wheels, your spacers and clamps should work. The extra width is added toward the center of the truck on the inside wheel and toward the outside on the outside wheel.

:o OOOoooohh-Now it makes sense. I'm guessing the actual wheel surface on all hubs for duals is cut to the same basic dimensions then. I'll get it figured out.

I'll bet that EH will drive 100% better with the bigger radials on it! :thumb:

Thanks!
