The aftermarket support for the Renault engines was virtually non existent.Rob Quote Plodding along with no job nor practical application for my existence, but still trying to fix what's broke. B61TENDT711 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Share Posted December 4, 2009 So the Midliner is an Obsolete truck ? and now the parts are fading away ?I have a Mack dealer "Madison Mack Sales" just down the block i drive there 5min or walk there in 15min. . .But if the parts are obsolete then that ain't going to help and you say its an 8.8L motor ?I was going to Repower this rig with an 8.3L Cummins and found the engine was to large . . .So i'm guessing this would turn out the same, I have no complaint's with the Gas engine it's just 56 years old, should i ever need parts or a rebuild i'm bit concerned about availability of parts to do so . . .
