  1. We had this happen once on a 237. The truck was running fine, ran out of fuel, one tank empty and one tank half full. Filled it up and ran about 50 miles and the engine started knocking. One of the injectors was loose and started coming apart. Tightened the pieces of the injector back up, installed it, and made it home without amy futher problems.

  2. When you pull the compressor, check the water lines to be sure the compressor is getting circulation. If the compressor air intake is plumbed to intake side of the turbo, you should update it by either plumbing to intake manifold or installing a filter kit on the compressor.

  3. Even when you try to buy a new Mack they're already half Volvo. Volvo engines. Volvo front axles. Built in a Volvo plant. I passed the Hagerstown engine plant last Monday. From I-81 you can see the "VOLVO", but you need to be in the parking lot to read the "mack" on the side of the water tank.
