Sad. Also a story that repeats over and over all across the country.

Caught this guy working his way up a steep grade at Taughannock Falls state park. Sounded like a 1,000 hairdryers being used at once.

Would you like to have one?

Articles in the paper and local news around here. My Facebook feed had plenty of links. Must be I run with a more patriotic crowd.

It's a silly ad campaign and nothing more. I wouldn't be surprised if in another year or two a new Silverado is released with more aluminum than the current Ford!

I think Troy Clarke has done a decent job managing this damaged company which was no easy task following the bomb job of Ustian.

I tried to avoid the political topics on here but I'll give you that one.

I went to Oswego once before. The late David Elder was with me, we had two loads of joists from Hancock Joist in Salem, Va. Before we got into town we saw dozens of people fishing in the river, some in the river with chest waders, elbow to elbow. We were going to stop on the way back because he wanted to see what they were fishing for and if they were catching any- he loved to fish. I was in front and ran by the pull-off spot we were going to stop at, so he didn't stop either, and complained all the way back because he didn't get to check the fishermen out.
Salmon fishing is a big deal up here. Snow shoveling and fishing is about it for year round actives.

The prototype to the L-Series, that model proceeding the R, but wearing the same fenders, came to life in 1949.

I happened to see one of these systems at the local Western Star dealer back in January. Hook lift with a fifth wheel and all other kinds of attachments. Very cool system.

Hmm, I thought for sure this looked like a Canadian spread kind of truck.

Pretty good considering the weather was bi-polar most of the morning. Around 30 big trucks, bunch of smaller pickups such, probably 130 vehicles total. All in all, a great local show.
