  1. Truck #52- 2005 Granite. This is my truck. Pulls a Midland pup.
  2. We're experiencing similar issues with our '07 Granites we bought with the 405hp MP-7's with the 10 speed. We traded two Ch's with E7 355/380's and never had a power issue. We are also seeing poor fuel mileage compared to the Ch's.
  3. Hi...I've got a 2005 Granite with the mack 10 speed that has started to grind when making the range shift into 5th. It does seem to do this only when the transmission is cold, once it warms up it shifts fine. We bought this truck with approximately 130,000 miles, it now has 160,000 and about a year later the trans started to leak around the top cover. Last winter we pulled both top covers and replaced the gaskets and torqued all the bolts. This summer the front top cover began to leak again and due to time constraints we have just been checking the oil level once a week until we get time this winter, not the thing to do but it's alot of work. Anyway, tonight I checked the level through the large plug on the side and it's usually a little low but this time I had oil running out and didn't have to add anything. Any ideas?
  4. Hey guys, been awhile but I'm back. I have a simple question regarding the radios on our new Granites. They have the Mack cd players in them with the small detachable faceplates. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to adjust the clocks. We just bought these this winter and recently had them painted. I'll get pictures up as soon as I can. I should be able to set them as normally computers are my thing, but this is kicking my butt. Anyway, if any of you have a similar radio please help me out. We were missing the books when we bought them. Thanks.
  5. This 1996 RD dump has served us well, but it is time for an upgrade. Last year this truck was involved in a collision in which someone in a small car pulled out in front of the driver of this truck and did not survive the accident. The truck required a new bumper, bumper brackets, hood, radiator, charge air cooler, fuel tanks, battery boxes, and few other minor stuff. Dad has never really liked this one even though it has never given us trouble, mainly because of the Eaton transmission. He said he would never own another one that is not all Mack. It is going to be traded in for a Granite. The only R left in the fleet is a 1980 RS dump. Just thought I'd share some pics. Enjoy.
  6. Another one of the old R's goin down the road. E6-350, Eaton transmission, Mack rears. Been a great truck hate to see it go, but gotta update once in awhile. She's being replaced by a newer Granite.
  7. Here's some pictures of Dad's 1996 Mack RD that's about to be traded in on a new Granite. I hope to add more pictures of the rest of the fleet soon
