  1. I got everything from Watts . The roll up channel that the glass mounts in was different from the original and had to be modified .  My driver door hinges were poor also . Rebuilding them looked to be a big job . There was a post on them sometime ago but you would have to have to more machinist tools and skills than I have . I found a set at Macungie  .  They were new but tan in color and the seller did not know what they fit . They went in the door pillar ok but the bottom hinge holes for the door were off . I cut the strap in half turned it over welded it and everything fit. I used Ditzler MAE 45735 LT GREEN MET paint . Best of luck with your doors

  2. A one wire alternator  works . A good starter, generator, alternator repair shop will give you the size once they know the battery size and what you are doing . Just switch the wires on the fuel gauge, amp or battery gauge, and heater fan switch . I used my old generator bracket and some all thread to get the correct alignment on the belts . If your old generator works and you are concerned a good shop can rebuild it . Most older system are pos. ground which means the battery is grounded to the frame on the + side of the battery. Negative ground the -  side of the battery is connected to the frame.

  3. I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 on a Freightliner low pro with hydraulic brakes  pulling a trailer with electric over  hydraulic brakes . It would not always  pick up the signal from the break pedal. After a week or so of trying to fix it contacted Tekonsha they suggested to tap into the brake line off  the master cylinder with a switch that works off hydraulic pressure . Works great now.

  4. Sealers should work if the tanks are clean and etched inside. Some radiator shops  will prep a tank with an electrode suspended in with a strong electrolyte solution and D.C. voltage . One of mine leaked after sand blasting . I filled it with Murphy's soap oil and  water brazed the area where the damp spot was. So far no leaks . A coating of epoxy primer on the out side may have helped some .
