Ok more John Mauro this is his Autocar he had painted it this blue and then sold it to John Gusette. John then repainted in the teal(stole my color) . This truck had a 290 cummins massaged to 380 so he told me with a rtoo 13 speed 65 rears on Autocar suspension.
Cheers, RFC Another note John Gusette had gotten sick and this truck was sold to Sal Carreri who uses it for snow plowing.

No unfortunately that 's the only pics I have of that truck. I think after that he was only showing his B81 to shows and I didn't really work with him that much until later on when I worked for Leslie Demarino and we were all running for Twin Eagle and John had the 87 Autocar that he bought from Gennaro. After that he bought the Western Star which was a nice truck too. Glenn Hammet from West Milford NJ has that truck now.

VP that truck is still working it is owned by Gallen Contracting used to be DT Allen Contracting. It has a Beau Roc body on it now but still has the chrome center cones and chrome air cleaner. I see your stuff all the time I live in Hillburn

Excellent Mark I don't really have any good photos from when John's Autocar was in their original colors. I only have a 110 photo. I have newer photos to post of that truck.

Ok here is John Mauros RD688SX taken at Englishtown in 91?. Pictures do not do this truck justice. This truck was badass. Reel Addiction would know John and his trucks. I will post other pics of his trucks that I have. This truck was ordered new from Cambria Mack it had a 350 w/ Dynatard(which John took off and put a Jake on), two stick 12 speed, 20 front, 58 rears, 11r24 rubber. It has a level two interior with added upholstery two high back National seats, chrome snap rings on front wheels and chromed rear center cones. Story is this truck was a lemon with rears and transmissions but the reality is John had a lot of fuel going through the pump and the truck ran like a raped ape. The body was a Bristol Donald heavy with a 12 panel 3/8's gate. This truck was sold to Spina Paving in Ridgefield and then it wound up at Gallen Contracting in Hackensack. Tha's when John started working his B81 for a while before he bought Gennaros Autocar.

Yea she's a mutt. It was a built truck. It had the bones we were looking for. We're calling it a 1978. The chassis is probably a little older. It had a positive ground chassis with a negative ground cab on it. I got the truck and a spare tandem R Model tractor for parts for 12 grand. I probably have 7 to 8 into her. Right now she's off the road it needs a cam and I have no work for her. This truck isn't my main truck. We got it in December of 03 and put it in my mechanics shop for the winter and brought it out in March of 04. A lot of work and I want to do more in the future.

Truck I drove for Leslie years ago. Former FA Marchello truck. 350, 8LL, 58 rears, 18 front, six panel tailgate Bristol Donald, straight pipe into body. Had high ratio rears in it. 4 somethings it would do 76 miles an hour too fast for a tandem especially heavy with a load of fill on. R Verneri from Franklin Lakes bought this back in 2000.

It was a nice truck. He sold it. I saw it in the late summer at the Quick Check in Upper Saddle River with the name off of it and some body work in primer done to it.
