I was just looking at one of those the other day and wondering how you can legally build a shotgun with a 2” barrel? Must be a loophole because of the 45 interchange?
The barrel is rifled so it’s no different than shooting 357 mag birdshot shells. The rifled barrel is what differentiates it according to the ATF.

How does those plastic strips work
They stick out beyond the tire and have reflective tape on the ends. You can see them in your mirror or make a couple of zig zags when you first get rolling which makes them easier to see. I always backed up 1/4-1/2 or a tire rotation in the winter and you can see if the tires are moving by looking for the contact patch on your walk around.

Keep at it Paul.

Well, buy it take the copper off and sell that. Then take that old engine and find the right truck to stick it in. That’s a win win right?

You could also have a leak somewhere allowing you to lose prime.

Maybe at one time but all of that currently is rusted
I’m no expert by any means but I’m guessing like you said it must’ve been changed. I have B753LS and all of those parts on mine are aluminum. Doesn’t really matter anyhow, it going to be a fun project no matter what parts it does or doesn’t have.

Originally a tractor, the fifth wheel was removed and additional rails added to rear of existing frame and a fuel tank was placed on it to fuel the fleet of dump trucks at night . B61 LST originally with aluminum discs on steer , aluminum fuel tank, air start, and maybe aluminum brake shoes but i didn't have the opportunity yet to crawl around underneath it
I’m guessing that you’ll find aluminum shackles, aluminum air tanks, aluminum hood and the pieces between the hood and fenders might be aluminum as well.

Amen. Keep him busy experiencing things instead of sitting in his butt in front of a screen doing nothing except watching things.

What a joke. Leave it to California to snuff out blue collar business owners. I absolutely hate that state, a bunch of ding bats who are out of touch with reality trying to rule the entire country. Maybe once they figure out they are not the center of the universe and most of this crap they outlaw makes serving them nearly impossible they will wake up but I doubt it. I know I’m ranting, some days it’s hard not to hearing the stupidity that comes from that state.

My father drove a crackerbox when I was a kid and hated it. I’ve always wanted one though. I wish this one was closer.
That one has a sleeper. Where’s your sense of adventure?

Good to hear from you Billy.

Pretty nice ol’ truck. Do you know the specs? Is it a runner? Either way it’ll be a fun to tinker on.

I’ve been trying to upload pics of my shop on here and haven’t had any luck. I don’t understand why sometimes pictures taken with the same device will upload and other times they will not. I’ll keep trying.

I spent that weekend assembling the motor. I got to dyno it last weekend(thurs/fri/sat), brought it home Sat afternoon and got it put in the car Sunday afternoon.
Specs? Pics? If it’s not too personal what kind of numbers did it run on the dyno?

Are you sure about that? I helped put a flatbed on a pick up at work and the flatbed had led lights. They worked but blinked really fast until we changed the flasher.

Nice video. You do a good job making them.

Cool dogs. We’ve got one younger German Shepherd (just turned 3 yesterday) and his mother and aunt who turned 10 at the end of June. He keeps them young for sure.
