  1. 2 years late, but there was an ignition wire in the radio harness rubbing the dash, killing the whole ignition til we found it. Ended up towing it. $800 for a 30 cent fix. Such is truck life. 🤷‍♂️
  2. Total shot in the dark, here, but I'm currently looking at this system for my '01 CX. How did this hold up, and what did it cost for the steer axle setup?
  3. 2001 CX613, E7 460 EUP. Hit a nasty bump, snapped the eyelet off the hot wire on the solenoid, then lost everything except lights. Got it hooked back up, and now it'll turn over and die immediately. Ignition switch fuse is hot to the touch, and it won't turn over until I let it cool. Currently waiting on the hook to get here, because I'm out of ideas, as is my mechanic. Any thoughts? Anything is helpful at this point. Thanks.
  4. Welding worked...someone applied some kind of sealant to the outside of the whole sleeve, providing an insanely strong bond to the block, making our lives miserable for the past few days.
  5. Thanks to you both for the quick answers. Our concern with welding is that the E7 block has a void around the liner for coolant to flow through, and we fear welding may damage that somehow.
  6. Longtime lurker, love the site...started an in-frame on my 2001 cx, and none of the liners will budge. Tried huge puller, jacking from underneath while pulling from top, going to try liquid nitrogen to freeze them out, but doesn't look promising. Can you use the welding method on wet liners? Mechanic used it on the old dry ones, but isn't sure about the newer wet liners. Any help is greatly appreciated... I need to get her back on the road!
  7. Looking for mounting rails that bolt up under the back of the cab and sleeper. Joliet is telling my they don't make them any more. pm here, or email tjrtrucking@gmail.com thanks
  8. I'm right around 16000 with my daycab now. If I stay in that neighborhood, it'd be great.
  9. i'm actually on a job now that's pretty much convinced me to get a small bunk. i was worried about the added weight, but i'll deal with it. i'm illinois, btw.
  10. I don't have pics, but it's got to be the biggest offered. Sky rise with storage over the cab and a sunroof.
  11. 1st post, but i've lurked for a while. this site has been of great help in a pinch a few times, and its appreciated. I currently run a 99 ch, and am buying a 01 vision in a few weeks. The vision has a condo on it, which is coming off in favor of either a 42" bunk, or a day cab kit...depending on how easily I can find a bunk. I have a few questions for whomever feels like answering, any input is appreciated. Are there any speed bumps I may run into removing the sleeper? Besides being huge, it seems pretty straight forward. Are there visor mounts on trucks with the California bunk? Does anyone know of a good place to find Mack 42" bunks? I see a ton of daycab conversions around IL, there has to be bunks laying around. Does anyone know of anywhere that might flash the ECM to 460xt? Does anyone make a chip? Again, any and all help is appreciated. thanks
