  1. We all sat up all night waiting for the video - I am going to have to get some sleep sometime................

I don't think there is a video. The thing was probably unable to start from a long winter's slumber. I'm wonderin if the the battery charger instuction pages are stuck together in anticipation????

    Hopefully that'll get em going!!

  2. The 1992 E9 was quite expensive to rebuild and my wife would probably divorce if this one needed it.

I've done some pretty crazy shit in my time and we are still married although it cost me dearly having nothing to scratch in the morning.

  3. Yes on the paint problems. We are having issues with trucks that are ordered with a custom color. The hood and cab come out 2 different shades/colors.

Different paint lines are prone to that. Computer batch matching has closed the ratio of mismatch but it still happens especially with heavily silver weighted, and some mica flakes containing colors.

  4. I had a look at the truck today. It has a 230 hp cat 3126, 6spd synchromesh trans (no tach), power tailgate that works perfect, all we need is a key and we'll see how it runs.

It will probably need a w/s for safety.

We are probably going to register it as an RV.

Don't run that engine hard as they are not real durable. This is only my opinion but I went through three of them on fairly short order at about 25,000# cargo load in one truck, and a very careful driver.

  5. Why you thinking its not selling Rob?

I don't think there is anything wrong with the truck and feel it is honest. When people are struggling to feed their families and fuel their vehicles, bidders who can come up with the starting bid as a second vehicle for pleasure use are fewer and further between.

  6. Glenn:

Thanks for the guidance. You were correct in the fuel system was sucking air. When I ran new fuel line along the inside of the fuel rail on the rt. side, (incorrect driver's side) I did not notice the rubber insulator on the "Adel" clamp deteriorated. It was no longer present and the clamp band actually rubbed a small hole into the fuel suction line. I actually found it by removing both ends , (tank, and primary filter housing) and applying 35psi air pressure while soaping the line. The bubbles went crazy! I just put new ends onto a new hose section and replaced everything including a new "Adel" clamp and all is fine. The fuel return to tank is now a strong stream like after fifteen beers.

Thanks again to everybody for the help.

  7. Wow! I would love to have those, they look very clean. It just costs so much to pay sombody to haul them. After we get our B60 on the road, we want to get a trailer so we can go pick up some of the many good, cheap trucks out there.

    Ben

The purchase is the least expensive part usually. As has been mentioned just the cost to get them back home can be very expensive even if you do it yourself. At current fuel prices in a vehicle that averages 10mpg, your cost in fuel only is right at .40 per running mile. This on top of the wear on everything else. This says nothing about working for free if you negate your own time.

  8. Found this over at Hank's,usually don't to care too much for this "upgrade" but this one does'nt look all that bad.............................Mark

I don't think I've seen a single one that I like the looks of cosmetically. However, if'n I were making a living in a truck when they were commonplace, I think I would have rated the convienience of service over the cosmetic appeal. Food on the table is always first and making the job easier fits right in with that analogy.

  9. I would have figured him and the whole administration have put out lots more than that and have more where that came from. I wish I had the liberty to express what I really think of the whole mess. Rob would be shuting me down from this site.

    Don't think so. Express away!!
