  1. I've only ever seen one N model firetruck. It's owned by a friend here in Iowa,N85F1002, but all fire apparatus was removed before he got it. He has nearly completed restoring it,but not as a firetruck.

do you have any orginal ownership info on it? I can only account for one of the N85's which is 1003. thanks

  2. it appears that there is one too many number digits at the end of the string. what are the last 5 again? they are usually 00 then 4 numbers.

also do you have the Grumman serial #? its on the yellow DOT sticker in the cab by the drivers seat.

    thanks

  3. what year is it?

the fire dept that some of my friends are on are looking to buy a cf mack and are wanting to find out some info on where the truck came from and specs on the truck the vin# is 1m2a152c6hmoo1188 thanks in advance for any and all info..

  4. and now that I look at the 1970 CF that E253 had, the entire rig from the cab back is identical to the 1969 R models. the pump is identical outlets, gauges and fittings all in same place on both rigs, everything, including the fuel fill door. get that 70 and you got a nice ride!

  5. I looked at the shots I have f E305's R model and their 79 CF. the body appears to be identical from the pump back, with the exception of the fuel fill door. there was a 1970 CF Ex-FDNY for sale in Arkansas a couple of months back. buy that one, remove the body from the cab back and put it on this chassis and you have a pretty good match.

  6. where did yours come from originally? I dont have a listing for it in my files. thanks. Mike

Hi all , I have a 1970 r608- sn 1045 27000 miles, I put a dump bed on it and haul sand and gravel . south west pa, I melted the pistons in it because the carb was plugged up and it run too lean, rebuilt the carb and put a pryometer on it , keep it below 1100 degrees, and it runs fine

  7. R4511 is the Seagrave serial number, SR20756 is the model #. I see you bought the truck from Patrick, he didnt have it too long! good to see its coming home!

Realizing there are other rigs out there in addition to Mack, I have purchased a 1969 Seagrave rear mount ladder truck, a former Collingdale #1 truck. The owner has provided me with 2 numbers so I can get it on my insurance for the ride home.

    R4511 and SR20756

Anyone familiar with Seagrave know which one is the registration number?
