  1. Check it out. This is my version of a 1938 Dodge with 41 Chevy Headlights. It was designed with an Art Deco Theme. Has flowing body lines. Though the top of the Tank is not straight. Realized that afterwards. I figured a Turbo Cummins with a 5 speed and 3 speed rear. I like traditional. Texaco is my favorite fuel company. The skirts have stainless triple speed spears on them on the truck and trailer. Plus the logos on the skirts are Texaco stars that line up exactly with each hub. This truck has been customized so not everything looks like a Dodge. Also has a custom grille and side vents. The single marker light on top is actually a lighted sign that says Texaco.
  2. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?showtopic=14424&st=0&gopid=57526& I posted this in the classifieds. It is a partially restored 1954 Freightliner COE and if they don't get the cost of scrap they are cutting her up!
  3. Nice truck. My wife had a truck I bought her with a factory tach. '77 Custom K10 Short box 4x4 Chevy. Then her other truck she built in high school shop class that her ex-husband totaled she put a factory guage set with a tach in. That was an '83 short box 4x4 with a 454 punched to 472 ci. 6" lift with 35's all the way around and a jet black paint job.
  4. Thanks Super Dog, I will keep that in mind. In the next few years I plan to build a Hotrod shop that specializes in Rods and restorations to include cars, trucks, semis, motorcycles, etc. I want to restore an old semi and already have thougt about this one and an old Mack of course.
  5. This is a truck I designed based off the Art Deco era. Yeah the trailer is kinda jacked up so I need to redo it. I want to build this truck. It is a 1938 Dodge COE Tandem Axle with trailer. or how about the Texaco Dodge Airflow and the Australian Dodge wrecker. Australian Dodge.bmp
  6. Not sure on the restored ones (probably in private collections now). But I know that the Automotive Restorers Guild in Cananda built The Labatt's White tractor/trailer a few years ago without the real truck, specs or blueprints, just using pics.
  7. What is with these people using these stupid rectangular headlights when they should have round ones? I saw enough of them on 32 and 34 Fords. The front fenders look goofy too.
  8. As an Automotive artist I got an eye for detail. Instead of just cross sectioning the hood on the red one or just the fenders on the black one, they should have taken a little out of both plus horizontally sectioned the main body and hood. The reason these look goofy (and this is my biggest pet peeve in car design) is the wheels and tires are not proportional to the size of the bodies. And the black one should be a flatbed because lets face it the only rig a pick-up box fits correctly on is a kodiak or a C series Chevy because they use pick-up cabs. These might look better as 4x4s or 6x6s. If you are going to start chopping stuff you need to chop every single panel to make it look right. And agreed suicide doors work for cars built before 1948,not trucks and nothing newer except cars that were built with them. That and the cab on the black one does not even look mounted correctly. It leans backwards.
  9. Yeah, this one was definately a Cummins. It was my screw up. What companies would have made the transmission and rears for this?
  10. oh I agree. But we are in Kosovo so we get the hand me downs from our big brothers and sisters in Iraq and Afghan.
  11. Well, you know...they are getting rid of the don't ask don't tell policy, lol.
  12. So, I talked to my Dad today and he said it was a 220 Cummins with a 5 speed trans and 3 speed rearend or 16 speed "hotstick". Can anybody tell me what the trans and rear ends would have been in this?
  13. This is my current truck with my squad leader...
  14. Also an Aussie 2007 Kenworth K100
  15. This has to be a newer Aussie KW K104:
