if it's a '53 it's almost gotta be an A model. If the ID tag is missing from the cab, look on the right side of the frame up near the rear spring hanger.hopefully you can still find the # there if the frame hasn't been chopped. Post pics ASAP. -

wen we got truck it had no Trans haha. We put a six speed mud stick in there. Was there 2 types of side mount air charge coolers?? yes,the later ones were water cooled.

John Mauro was down my garage he say the 5 indicates maxi... The 676 was a " shift Motor" as he called it.. Meaning it had a Trans w gears behind it????? I'm so confused!!! 675 and 676 were both Maxidynes, built to be used with 5 or 6 speeds.

Hi Is ETZB675 a 315hp? ETAZ673A was the 315 hp engine, known as 300+. The B in any of them just meant it was Dynatard equipped.

What's the difference between an ENDTB675 and an ETZB675? I can decipher the old number (EN=engine, D=diesel, T=turbocharger, B=engine brake) but why the change? I don't know what the Z is all about.
-
you've had an engine swap. Someone has put in a 237 (675) and added the tip turbine setup to it. If your engine was original,it would be a ENDT676.

I'd love to have an old pot like that. Grandpa's first one was a 1960 Wilson 40 footer similar to the 3 on the right. The left 3 appear to be Fruehauf's.

How rotten is the cab and nose? Fair at best,it's had some older and not done real well repairs. A good body man could save it no doubt, but it's no cherry. The doors do shut nice, though.

Sure got lots of fuel capacity! That's so they don't have to stop so often for fuel, less chance of being seen in public that way. -

It's cool looking. You should call it the yellow jacket. My wife's father lives in Marshall Missouri and we were out there for a visit back in 2005 during a heat wave. It was hot! Rob Use to haul hogs to Marshall,MO. Wilson had a packing house there, later owned by Excel.

Unless someone has stolen them since I was last there,I have fuel tanks. Also have a budd wheel front axle.

That's a damn cool Chevy, shame to part it! If the frame wasn't so bad,I'd agree, but it is really bad, rusted, heaved and split.

		I didn't have my camera at the auction,so no pics,but there where 2 other trucks,if I weren't so cash poor right now I would have bought all 3.There was a '64 CO1800 Cargostar IH,345 with 5 speed on the column,single axle with a cheater,didn't run,poor tires,but cab was rust free,box was rusty.It brought $700. The other was a '81 4070B short sleeper with a 20 ft. box,Big Cam 290 with a 10 speed,twin screw,good tires,floaters on the front,ready to go to work,it brought $2300.

Bought this at a farm sale today.427,5x2,tag axle, air brakes. Been parked about 10 years, had rebuilt engine and new radiator a year before it was parked. Hardly any miles on the front tires, they still look good,no dry rot, bias ply 10:00x20's.4 really good 9:00x20 drive tires. I'm going to knock it in the head,if anybody needs any old Chevy parts, speak up fast.
-
lots of older farm trucks had cheater axles that could be lifted and lowered manually
-
That's Tom Bronge's still has the V8,low mile truck -

Looks like a pretty straight unmolested truck, but I'd sure lose that 9 speed and swap in a 2 stick 4x4. Then I'd glider kit it into a RL700. -

I don't think Diamond Reo did either, by the time REO and Diamond T merged, Diamond T was only using the Autocar "Driver's cab". DR did use the REO cab, which looked slightly similar. -

		Cline,also.

		First turbo was the ENDT673,205 hp,1954-55,intercooler was the ENDT676 ,283 hp,in 1973.

Chances are there will be longer studs holding the PTO on,you'll have to remove them and replace with short bolts to hold the cover plate.

Mack 2 valve tip turbine

the 300+ was made for use with a 10 speed, and with the operating range, would not work well at all with a 5 or 6 speed.,but you could put any trans. you wanted behind a 675 or 676,I've seen 10 and 13 speed fullers,10 and 12 speed Macks,, them.about anything you can imagine behind .
